sons could be.
– Drive the hoist only with battery powered devices with a maximum revolu-
tionsof25001/min.
– Device must be checked once a year by a technical expert, in case of
harder operating conditions more often. The enterpriser is liable in case of
damagesandhastoprovidetestcerticates.
– Check the device regarding damages, unfastened screws or twisted chain
before using it and eliminate failures.
– Repair works on hoisting devices shall only be carried out by the manufac-
turer or an instructed repair shop by using original spare parts.
– Check load carrying constructions, load securing devices, mountings, cross
beams etc. regarding load carrying capacity and condition of the required
loads by a technical expert.

4 INSTALLATION
INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE
OPERATION
4.1 Beforerstuse
4.2 Installation and testing prior to
each use
Certain jobs and operations are forbidden when using a hoist, because they
can possibly cause danger for life and health and damagethe hoist, as for
example:
– Read the user manual before operation.
– Never drive the hoist with mains current powered devices
– Never overload the hoist above it WLL
– Never lift a load above persons
– Never pull the lifting chain over sharp corners
– Never work with a damaged hoist
– Never lift or transport persons with this hoist
– Never throw the hoist
– Never use the lifting chain for rigging
– Never work up to the end of chain
– Never attach the load on the tip of the hook
– Never work with a twisted or broken chain
– Never work without a safety latch
– Never remove the warning notice
– Never use the lifting chain as chain sling
– Never let a lifted load häng unattended
– Never pull loads in a angle
– Never break free stucked loads with this chain hoist
– Chain hoists which are added to a travelling trolley or are supplierd with it
are subject to the actual German safety standards for cranes. Please follow
thecountryspecicstandardsandregulations.
– Neverusethehoistbelow-20degreesCelsiusorabove+60degreesCel-
sius.
– Hang hoist with the top hook into the load carrying system and turn it once.
– The load chain must hang free and be without kinks or twists.
– Drive the hoist for 5-10 seconds in liftig and lowering direction.
– Inspection of load brake, lift the load a bit and stop operation. When the load
sustains, go on lifting. When lowering, the load shall not slide after operation
has stopped.
– If everything is performed properly, operation can be started.
– Important for devices of multiple lines: Lower block shall not be snapped
through the chain loop. This can be recognised by a twisted chain. Each
second chain link of one strand is not steadily in line. If the welded seams of
the chain links are not in same direction the lower block must be struck back
through the chain loop.
– The last chain link must be fastened on the hoist body.
NO WAY

4.3 Important advices – Check wheather the supplied hoist is complete, all nuts and bolts are faste-
ned and it corresponds your purchase order
– Make certain that transport damages exist
– Check wheather the carrying structure which bears the hoist is strong
enough according the strains. Eventually a statics expertise is of the load
bearing structure is necessary
– Do not attach the top hook on the tip
– Check the hooks before you for cracks, bendings or other defects
– Check before use, that the hook is attached correctly, no overloading
– Brakeclosesautomaticallywhenattachingtheminimalload(appr.10%of
nominalload).
– Chain block is only suitable for vertical lifting and lowering.
– To move the load, spin the battery driven power tool left or right

5 INSPECTION, REPAIR AND
MAINTENANCE
5.1 Additional inspection
5.2 Chains and Hooks
A regular inspection via sight check has to be carried out by a according the
countries regulations authorised technician. Check for unusual noises during
load and no load tests.
For the brake system is more necessary than a simple sight check
Carry out the test as follows:
– Attachthenominalload(WLL)
– Lift the load
– Lift and release the load on different heights
– Check wheather the load is kept safely in position after the
propulsion was stopped
– Change the brake discs if the thickness is less than 2,5mm or
defects are found
If you notice during dissambling of the hoist that parts a not ok, then change
these only against original spare parts.
NamesandSparepartnumberofeachpart,youwillndonthenextpages.
When ordering these parts please take care to notify the correct spare part
order number, the type and capacity of the hoist.
In case of doubt send the part in for check.
Check the chain in as short intervals as possible. Check it for nicks, cracks,
cuts, dents, bendings, corrision and deformations or damages. If the cross
sectionofthechainlinkwireisreducedanywheremorethan10%,thechain
has to be substituted immediately.
– The chains and hooks have to be inspected continuously! Clean the chain
before inspection. Lubricate the load chain from time to time! Never lubri-
cate or grease the brake!
– Retracted chain shall not click under load.
– Checkthechainforstretching!Theinternallength(t)ofawornchainlink,

If the load chain has to be changed, the chain wheel should be checke das
well, as wthis could be worn out too.
Load hook check Pos. 31 and Pos. 32 from 250kg - 2.000kg Version;
Pos. 57 and Pos. 71 at the 3.000kg Version;
Due to extreme strain or wrong handling, the hooks can bend open or stretch.
Iftheoriginaldimensions“G“isexceededmorethan10%,thehookshaveto
be replaced. If thats the case, its possible, that other load carrying compo-
nents are damaged as well and a thourough examination of the hoist has to
be carried out for other deformations.
As hook dimensions can change from one to another due to forging toleraces,
the user should measure the exact dimension „G“ at the supplied hoist and
logg it to this table.

The measurement has to be carried out as follows:
– Take the throut of the hook from metal to metal, without the safety latch
– Thewearonthebottomofhookthroatshouldnotexceed10%fromorigi-
nale dimension
– Checkthesidewaystwistofthehook.Itexceeds10degreesfromplanar-
ity, the hook has to be replaced
– Check the safety latch for positive closing and free movement. Replace
when damaged !
– Excessivedamageonthehooks,duetochemicalorcorrosiveinuences,
cause their replacement.
– It is strictly forbidden to grind or weld for repairs on the hooks.
These thorough examiations can only be carried out by a lifting equipment ex-
pert. If you dont have this knowledge, contact your supplier or us. We carry out
regularly examinations, also by service contract.
After completion of use take care of:
– Wipe away dirt and water, slightly lubricate the lifting chain and rotating
parts.
– From time to time – depending on the number of uses – check if the gear-
boxwheelsarestillgreasedsufciently
Lubricateallmovableparts(gearwheelsetc.)slightlywithMolikotegrease
Exception: Never lubricate any brake part
When not in use, store the hoist in a dry place.
A proper function is only warranted with use of original spare parts
If the device has to be checked or repaired in a case of warranty, please send
it completely assembled. We cannot accept any warranty claims with receival
of disassembled devices.
