PRODUCT OVERVIEW
1. 1/4” TRS Inputs
Connect your balanced line-level input signals here using 1/4” TRS
phone jack plugs. The signals from these connections are sent
through the USB interface to the computer for recording.
2. 1/4” TRS Outputs
These jacks accept 1/4” TRS phone jack connectors and are for the
output of balanced line-level signals. The signal sent through these
outputs is taken from the USB interface. Typically this signal is dened
by the user in their digital audio workstation (DAW) software.
3. Headphones Output
Plug standard stereo headphones or in-ear monitors into this 1/4”
TRS phone jack connection. The headphones output is taken from
the USB interface and is identical to that
sent through the 1/4” TRS Outputs.
4. Level Control
This large jog wheel control allows users
to adjust the output level of the signal that
is sent to the headphones output.
5. USB Indicator
This small LED indicator will light up when
a USB connection is established.

6. USB port
Connect the Firefly 202 USB to your computer through this 6-pin
USB connection. As the Firefly 202 USB does not support powering
through the USB interface, a 6-pin to 4-pin adapter can be used.
7. DC Power Input
Connect the Firefly 202 USB’s DC power supply here.
FIREFLY 202 USB CONTROL PANEL
Using the Firefly 202 USB control panel, users can adjust various
properties of their USB audio signals. The full control panel is
currently only available on PC computers, while Mac users do have
a minimal control panel for their Firefly 202 USB.
USB Tab: In the USB menu, users can select the device they wish
to change the properties of, activate and deactivate the inputs or
outputs, adjust the sampling rate or view the USB Resolution (this
is permanently set to 24-bit). The sampling rate can be selected
between 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96 kHz.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Driver won’t install
● Be sure not to connect the Firey 202 USB until the installation
instructs you ‘disconnect and reconnect’ the unit.
● Uninstall any previously installed driver. Even an unsuccessful
installation attempt may have installed the control panel, so check
the “Install/Uninstall Programs” menu in the Control Panel.
● Try disabling/closing any virus protection programs or rewalls
you may have installed.
No audio is being recorded
● Make sure you have a signal connected to the Firey 202 USB’s
inputs.
● Is the AC-DC power adapter connected and the unit is powered?
● Check the Firey 202 USB control panel. If a connection has
been established between the computer and the unit, then the
cause is more likely software-based.
● Route all your input signals in your DAW software correctly.
Be sure to select the ASIO driver as your default driver in that
program, and assign your input channels to your project’s tracks
or buses (whichever may be the case for your software). Check
your DAW software’s operation manual for detailed instructions.
Distorted Sound or unexplained drop-outs
● Try increasing the buffer values in the Firey 202 USB control
panel.
● Close all unnecessary background programs or processes. Many
programs may run in the background with no indication. It’s
important to either disable these or completely remove them.
● Reduce the amount of graphics acceleration your computer uses.
This is typically done in the Control Panel’s “Appearance” menu.
