3 Installation
3.1 Mounting
Depending upon the configuration ordered, there are several ways to mount the BL2
PPC…AIO65…. Use the appropriate section below to mount the BL2 PPC…AIO65….
3.1.1 VESA
The BL2 PPC AIO65... conforms to the VESA, MIS-D, 100, C hole pattern. Note that this
standard is for devices up to 14 kg (30 lb.).
Port connections pass through rubber grommets that, when installed properly, maintain the
IP65 rating of the device. Failure to properly install the cables through these grommets will
result in a lesser IP rating.
The grommets accept typical cable diameters. The cables must be installed through an
appropriate grommet that aligns with the connector to maintain the IP65 degree of
protection. Grommets are labeled per type of signal.
NOTE:
Install the BL2 PPC…AIO65… with adequate clearance around the heat sink to provide
sufficient air flow such that ambient temperatures do not exceed the operating limits.
Install cooling fan(s) in the enclosure, if necessary.
Exceeding the system temperature limits can result in performance degradation of any or
all components. It is therefore important that the ambient temperature of the installation
environment is kept within the system temperature limits of your BL2 PPC…AIO65….
Because the housing must be opened to route the cables through grommets and attach
them to the ports, cables should be installed and attached to the PC before attaching the
PC to the VESA mount.

To install a cable:
1. Loosen the captive screws (1) securing the rear cover (2) to the IPC and panel
assembly (3) and carefully raise the cover. Note that ground (4) and USB (5) cables are
connected internally and must be disconnected to fully separate the components.
Figure 3-1 Accessing ports in a VESA-mount configuration
2. Remove the desired grommet (6) from the rear cover by pushing it out from the inside.
3. Bend or flex the grommet to see the split. Remove the installed plug(s) from the
grommet.
4. Insert the desired cable(s) into the grommet. Route the cable(s) through the appropriate
opening in the rear cover.
5. Press the grommet into the opening in the door, making sure it is fully seated.
6. Repeat the process for all desired grommets and cables. If a cable is not inserted into
the grommet, the plug must remain installed.
7. With the cover held in close proximity to the IPC and panel assembly, plug all cables
into the appropriate ports (see Figure 3-3).
8. Coil and secure any cables inside the rear cover and put it in place. Secure cover with
the previously removed hardware.
