· Be careful not to apply any additional pressure as this may damage the device.
· Be careful when you are changing the rollers, so you do not pinch your fingers.
· Keep the Sensory Roller set dry and protected from light to prevent premature
ageing of the material.
· Check the attachments regularly for wear and damage. Damaged attachments
must no longer be used. Risk of injury.
7. CLEANING AND DISINFECTION For professional and clinical use, the NOVA-
FON Sensory Roller should be sanitised before first use (see chapter on ‘Manual
Cleaning and Disinfection’). For use on multiple people, the attachments must be
sanitised after each application. Please note that unfortunately machine cleaning
of the Sensory Roller is not possible.
In domestic, non-clinical use, the attachment may be cleaned with a mild soapy
solution as needed or whenever there is visible soiling.
NOTE: If you are using detergents and disinfectants, please observe the relevant
usage instructions of the agent of the respective manufacturer. Use only non-al-
coholic detergents and disinfectants (VAH or IHO listed) for sensitive surfaces.
MANUAL CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
A. PREPARATION: Remove the Sensory Roller from the retaining clip. Remove
adapter.
B. PRETREATMENT AS NEEDED: (e.g. in case of heavy surface contamination)
Required accessories: suitable plastic brush, running water (at least drink-
ing water quality), if needed, neutral cleaning agent or alcohol-free cleaning
cloths/wipes (suitable for sensitive surfaces, e.g. Rheosept-WD Plus Wipes,
Wachendorff-Chemie).
· Remove surface contamination with a plastic brush under running water. Alter-
natively, light contamination can be removed with a separate disinfectant wipe.
· Check for cleanliness: If contamination is still visible, repeat the pretreatment
using a neutral cleaning agent. Rinse each part of the attachments under run-
ning water for neutralisation and then dry them with a lint-free cloth.
C. CLEANING AND DISINFECTION: Make sure that all visible dirt is removed
before disinfecting. For cleaning and disinfection of sensitive surfaces, please
use a non-alcoholic surface disinfectant (VAH or IHO listed, e.g. SinAlc sensitiv,
Hibomed, Rheosept-WD Plus Wipes, Wachendorff-Chemie).
· Thoroughly treat all surfaces of the attachments and the fixture with the disin-
fectant. Make sure that all surfaces are completely wetted. Follow the manufac-
turer instructions of the disinfectant you are using.
