BEFORE USE
Before use, please read this manual carefully.
Only connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket.
This appliance is for household use only. When using electrical
appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
avoid res, electric shocks, burns, or other injuries and damage. Read
these operating and safety instructions carefully.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS (1/3)
1. This appliance should only be connected to a 220V-240V AC, 50Hz
supply. If it is connected to any other power source you may damage
the appliance and invalidate the warranty
2. This appliance must only be used with a correctly installed earthed
socket
3. To avoid potential hazards, repairs such as replacing a damaged
cable should only be carried out by qualied engineers
4. Switch off the appliance and unplug when the appliance is not in
use and before cleaning
5. Do not allow children to play with this appliance
6. This appliance can be used by children aged 15 years and above
and persons of reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
7. Never immerse the appliance or plug in water, avoid spillage onto
the plug
8. Never pull the power lead to disconnect from the mains supply
9. Only use the appliance if it shows no signs of damage, if it
malfunctions or a fault occurs remove the plug from the mains
immediately

10. Do not place the appliance on or near hot surfaces
11. Only use the appliance on a level surface
12. Do not ll with water over the maximum mark
13. Only ll the appliance with WATER, any other liquid can burn and
damage it
14. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer may result in re, electric shock, or personal
injury
15. Do not put ngers inside capsules housing. Never dismantle
appliance and do not put anything into openings

17. Scalding may occur if the handle is lifted during brewing cycles
18. Avoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord
may overheat and cause a risk of re. However, if you have to use an

19. To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, any servicing other than
cleaning and user maintenance should be performed by an authorized
service representative. Under no circumstance should you open the
machine yourself

21. Never use warm or hot water to ll the water container. Use cold
water only

22. Keep your hands and the cord away from hot parts of the
appliance during operation

24. Do not lift the closing handle while the machine is functioning since
coffee is extracted under high pressure

To reduce the risk of re and electric shock, do not remove the side
covers. No user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done by a
qualied service person only

APPLIANCE OPERATION
1. Unpack the package
Carefully remove the appliance from the packaging and keep the
packaging for future reference. Place it on a rm and level surface. In
the unlikely event of nding any damage to the appliance please return
it to the retailer
2. Startup
- This operation must be carried out before the machine is connected
with the electricity
- Remove the tank cover (B). Remove the water tank (D) and ll it
with fresh clean water of normal temperature, pure water is strongly
recommended to avoid scale in the machine, preferably with low
limestone content. The water level should no higher than the MAX
position
- Please make sure the water tank (D) is replaced correctly
- Replace the tank cover (B)
The device is now ready for making coffee.
3. Coffee/Espresso
- Power Switch (E).
Turn on the power switch, both coffee buttons indicating lights turn to
solid red, it starts preheating. When the correct temperature is reached,
both indicators turn to solid blue, then the machine is ready for coffee
making
- Making coffee.
Place a cup under the coffee spout (K). In case you choose Lungo,
remove the upper support (G). Open the capsule insertion door (C) by
Lever (A) and place a desired drink capsule into the Capsule insertion
door (C). Close the capsule insertion door (A) completely. Push the
button for the requested coffee; Espresso for a small cup and Lungo
for a larger cup (F/N). Once the desired quantity of drink has been
reached, the appliance will stop working. When the process is nished,
the used capsule will drop down into the container (M) after lifting the
lever.
If the capsule is not put into the correct position please turn off the
power switch, then open the door and repeat the previous process

4. Hot Water
Just repeat the coffee brewing procedure without inserting a capsule,
you will get hot water.
5. Appliance is still working when the tank is empty
Turn off the appliance and remove the plug from the power source.
Rell the water tank with clean water and replace the tank cover. Lift
the lever backward to the direction of the water tank for 5 seconds to
exhaust the extra pressure, the machine will now work normally.
6. Energy Saving Mode (standby function)
The machine will automatically enter the standby/off mode if it is idle
for 5 minutes, press any brewing button to restore the machine to
active. Or unplug the appliance for 10 seconds, then reconnect the
plug, the machine should work normally again.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- When using the machine for the rst time, or if it has been NOT used
for a long time, it is recommended to clean the appliance before use.
- Use original capsules only
- Remember to remove the used capsules in the used capsule collection
before it is cleaned
- Press the lever backward to the direction of the water tank for 5
seconds to exhaust the extra pressure if the appliance cannot pump any
water
1. Drawer emptiness and cleaning
Whenever you lift the lever for brewing, the used capsule will drop into
the container automatically. So the drawer must be emptied frequently
or after 10-15 drinks. If the drawer is not emptied, the capsules can
jam inside the drawer.
If the door is not completely closed, the machine will not operate.
2. Drawer and drip tray cleaning
The drawer and drip tray grille can be cleaned with warm soapy water,
do not use detergent or abrasive material, which could cause damage.
3. Plastic housing cleaning
Clean the outer parts of the machine using a damp cloth only
Do not use detergent products or abrasive material, which could
damage the machine’s surface. This appliance must not be immersed in
water or a dishwasher.

4. Tank cleaning
Periodically, approximately after every 10 liters of water used or even
more frequently if using hard water or with impurities, it is necessary to
clean the water tank.
- Remove the water tank cover (B).
- Remove the water tank from its housing and wash it internally with
running water.
- Dry the tank’s outer sides properly, ll it, and place it into its position.
- Replace the water tank cover.
5. Machine cleaning and descaling
Periodically, it is necessary to perform a washing cycle using a
descaling product. Only use specically designed products suitable for
espresso coffee machines and follow the instructions provided with the
product
MALFUNCTIONS AND AFTER-SALES
SERVICE
If the machine does not work please check:
- The power cable connected to the wall socket and the machine
- The wall socket is switched on
- The machine is switched on
- The used capsules collection drawer is not full
- The water tank is empty
- A capsule wasn’t inserted correctly
- The coffee machines is still in a working condition while the water tank
is empty, please re-ll the tank and place it on the proper position
- The extra pressure has been exhausted by lifting the lever (A) back
towards the direction of water tank (D) for 5 seconds
If after having checked the above, the machine does not start or
operate properly, it must be checked by a qualied service engineer.

DISPOSAL
Do not dispose of the device in normal domestic waste.
Dispose of the device over a registered waste disposal rm or through
your communal waste disposal facility.
Observe the currently valid regulations. In case of doubt, consult your
waste disposal facility.
