Getting Started: Turning Your Device On/O
To turn on your device, press and hold the Power button until the
Minno logo appears (5-6 seconds); release the button and the system
will complete startup.
Note: ‘Top-o’ your battery charge if it is not charged to 100%
when rst powered on.
To turn o your device, press and hold the Power button, then select
Power o ¢OK.

Note: For optimal use of the touch screen, remove the screen
protection lm before using your device.
Lock or unlock the touch screen
When rst powering on or after not being used for a specied period
the device will go to sleep and lock (touch screen will be turned o to
prevent unintended operations).
To lock the touch screen,
manually press the
Power button.
To unlock the touch screen,
turn on the screen by pressing the
Power button,
then press the lock icon and drag it to the right.
To manage screen lock preferences go to Settings ¢Security ¢
Screen Security ¢Screen lock

Touch Screen Control
Your device is equipped with a multi-touch display allowing you to
perform multiple nger gestures, such as pinching the screen for
zooming out, or spreading the screen for zooming in.
Pressing
Pressing the touch screen allows you to select a desired item or
activate an application.
Long pressing
Long-pressing, or holding, an application allows you to drag and drop
the application to another Home screen or to remove it from the
screen. *Holding your nger on an application icon causes the icon to pop
up slightly allowing you to drag it.
Pinching
Pinch or spread two ngers to zoom in or out of images on screen in
Gallery, Maps, or Places.
Swiping
Use one nger to swipe back and forth between Home screens, through
dierent images in the Gallery, or pages in open applications.
Note:
To avoid scratching the touch screen, do not tap it with sharp objects.
Do not allow the touch screen to come into contact with other
electrical devices. Electrostatic discharges can cause the touch screen
to malfunction.
Do not allow the touch screen to come into contact with liquids. The
touch screen may malfunction in humid conditions or when exposed
to liquids.

Getting Started:
Getting to Know the Home Screen
Once the device has been turned on
and the touch screen unlocked, you
will see the Home screen.
From the Home screen you can
view your device’s status and access
applications. The Home screen has
multiple panels that can be used to
organize your programs and appli-
cations. Swipe left or right to view
other panels.
See Pg 12 for more information on
Home screen applications.

Notications
Icons on the right side of the Status
Bar alert you to application and
system Notications (e.g. when you
receive an email or download an app a
notication icon will appear). To access
Notications, open the Notications
menu by touching and swiping your nger up on the right side of
the Status bar. Select a Notication from the menu to view update
information.
Quick Settings
Touch the right side of the Status Bar
and swipe your nger up, then press
the settings icon to open the
Quick Settings menu. From here you
can view and quickly change system
settings displayed on the menu (e.g.
turn on/o Notications, adjust screen
brightness, etc.).

Manage Applications
Open – Press any application icon
to launch the application.
Grab – Long-press any icon in the
Applications menu to drag it to the
Home screen.
Move – Long-press any icon on the Home screen to drag and place
it anywhere on the screen. Drag icons to other tablet screens by
long-pressing the icon and dragging it to the left or right of the Home
screen until you see a new screen appear. When you reach the desired
screen let go of the icon to set it on that screen.
Delete – On the Home Screen, Long-press the application icon you
wish to remove, drag it to “X Remove” at the top of the screen, and
release your nger to delete it. (this only deletes the icon from the screen,
it does not remove the application from your system)
Uninstall – In the Applications menu, long-press the application you
wish to completely remove from your system and drag it to“Uninstall”
at the top of the screen. (some applications are part of the Android system and
cannot be uninstalled).
Download – Press the Google Play Store application to search
and download Android™ applications for your device.
*You must sign in to Google or create a Google account to access the Play Store and
to use applications that interact with the Google server.
Getting Started: Access Applications
On the Home screen press the Applications icon to open the
Applications menu.
