Function Description Functions of control key
Information on the display
Descriptions of icon
Ikons Description
When pick up the handset, this icon will turn
on to indicate that the unit is in use mode.
When press the speaker button, this icon
will turn on to indicate that the unit is in spe-
akerphone mode.
After dialled out about 5 seconds, this icon
will turn on to timer, and will turn off after
hang up about 8 seconds.
During writing a message, press # button, it
will turn on, it mean that the letter is in
upper case mode.
When you recei e a new SMS message or
oice mail, this icon will show on the LCD to
remind you to read.
If there are new calls in memory, this icon
will turn on. After all the new calls ha e
been re iewed, the icon will be turned off.
If the call comes repeatedly, this icon will
turn on.

To confirm an action
This button function as CALL BACK when browsing the incoming
calls. Please refer to Calling back a CID number in Caller iden-
tification list section for details.
This unit has up to 30 memory locations in the Phone book me-
mory. For details, please see Phone book section in this manu-
al.
This unit has up to 90 memory locations in the CID memory. For
details, please see Caller identification list section in this user ma-
nual.
This unit has up to 30 memory locations in the outgoing memo-
ry. For details, please see Outgoing calls section in this manual.
To delete an entry or a record in the memory
This button functions as last number redial when you make a call
(32 digits maximum). Numbers that are longer than 32 digits will
not be kept in the redial memory.

Safety precautions Installing the ase unit
Safety precautions
To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock and injury, ple-
ase follow these basic safety precautions before you use
this equipment.
1. Carefully read the instructions in this manual.
2. Read the warnings marked on the unit.
3. When cleaning, unplug the phone. Use a damp
cloth. use liquid or aerosol moist.
4. Do not use this equipment in surroundings
5. Do not place objects on the line cord that may cau-
se damage.
6. A oid spilling any liquids on the unit.
7. Unplug this telephone from the wall outlet and refer
ser icing to qualified ser ice personnel.
Preparing the telephone
The package contains the following:
One base unit
One Handset with coil cord
One line cord
4 AA size 1.5V batteries
One User manual
One adaptor
Installing the ase unit
Notes on the installation
The unit is designed for operation in rooms with a tem-
perature range from +5 to +45.
Inserting the batteries
The SMS phone requires four 1.5V AA size batteries to
acti e display.
1. Remo e the battery co er from the back of your
SMS phone.
2. Insert four new 1.5V AA size batteries note
the +/- polarity marks into the compartment.
3. Replace the co er securely.

Installing the ase unit
Connecting the ase unit
1. Insert the small plug on the mains cable into DC jack, insert power supply unit into mains socket.
2. Insert one end of the telephone cable into line jack, insert another telephone jack into telephone socket.
• Only the power supply unit supplied use as indicated on the underside of the de ice.
• If you buy another cable, ensure that the telephone leads ha e 3-4 assignment.
Attention: new telephone cable. Only use the cablesupplied.

Presetting
Setting the date and time
In standby mode, the unit can show the date and time to help
you keep your appointments. You need to set the date and
time so that the date and time when messages or calls are
recei ed can be displayed correctly.
Open the menu
Select the menu item and confirm
Select the menu item and confirm
The current setting is displayed
Select the Month/Day/Hour/Minute field
Enter the month/day/hour/minutes
(e.g. 12:36 23/08, as shown)
Select to confirm
Select to cancel

Resetting the unit
After reset the unit, all the settings will be deleted.

Press to confirm, and the LCD shows
Format... . When formating is ended
the display will return to standby mo-
de.
• When set the date and time, you need to enter, two digits at
a time e.g. the month August, in the month field you need to en-
ter 8. If not, the entry number is in alid.
• The time is in 24h mode.
• The date and time will be automatically set when you recei e
a first call to this unit. (FSK standard)

Presetting Making calls
Making calls
To make a call, simply pick up the handset and wait for
the dialling tone.
Then, dial the desired telephone number with the nu-
meric keys.
To end a call, replace the handset onto the cradle of
the base unit, or press the hook switch.
Handsfree talking
Press the speaker button to put your phone off-ho-
ok, enter the phone number to be called, afterwards,
the number will be dialled out accordingly. And OHD
works with phone numbers stored in phone book and
redial list.
Predialling call
Enter the phone number to be called, then press the
speaker button, then the number will be dialled out
accordingly.
Setting the area & LDS code
Open the menu
Select the menu item and confirm
Select the menu item and confirm
LCD shows Area Code1
Enter the area code number0~9
(up to 4 digits)
Press twice to confirm and enter the
LDS code setting.
LCD show LDS Code .
Enter the LDS code number0~9 (up
to 2 digits)
Press to confirm and exit.
• If you set the area code number, when dialling the number that
with the set area code number in phonebook or CID list, the num-
ber can be dialled out without the area code number.
• If you set the LDS code number, when dialling the long distance
number(more than 7 digits) in phonebook or CID list, the number
can be dialled out with the LDS code number. In re iewing state,
the LDS code number can not be displayed.
• If the phone number is not correct, press the button to cancel the
precious entries and mo e backward.
