• Never throw batteries into a re or expose to excessive heat sources.
• If batteries are swallowed, please seek immediate medical attention.
• Always ensure correct +/- battery polarity when installing batteries.
• Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
Batteries, should not be thrown away with your household waste. Contact
your local authority waste disposal department, as they will be able to provide
details of the recycling options available in your area.
Electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) contains materials, parts and
substances, which can be dangerous to the environment and harmful to
human health. Therefore waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
must be disposed of correctly.
Equipment, which is marked with the WEEE logo
(as shown on the left), should not be thrown away with your household waste.
Contact your local authority waste disposal department, as they will be able to

To prevent possible hearing damage, do not
use at high volume levels for long periods.
This product uses 4 x ‘D’ 1.5V sized batteries (not included).

Connecting Power
Mains Lead
This radio uses a 13A, 2 pin mains power lead (supplied). Plug the
mains lead into a suitable mains socket and connect the lead to the
mains input on the back of the radio.
Batteries
This radio uses 4 x 1.5V ‘D’ cell type batteries (not supplied). Do not
keep batteries in the radio for long term storage. The radio will pull a
charge from the batteries while they are left in even if the unit is not
being actively used.
To install the batteries push the cover release tab down and pull the
cover away from the radio. Please make sure you match the
polarity orientation when inserting the batteries. This is marked
inside the battery bay in the moulding.

On/Off
Turning The Radio On
Once the radio has power either supplied by the mains or batteries,
the radio is constantly on.
Turning The Radio Off
The only way to turn the radio off completely is to turn it off at the
mains and unplug it or remove the batteries out of the back.
Modes
The radio has 3 function modes available. These are Radio, Tape and
Bluetooth/Music.
Radio
To select the radio function move the function switch to ‘RADIO’.
The radio will play through the speakers.
Tape
To select the tape function move the function switch to ‘TAPE’.
The tape deck is ready to be used.
/Music
To select the bluetooth/music function move the function switch to
‘ /MUSIC’. The radio will be ready to play mp3’s from an
SD/MMC card, a USB stick or from a bluetooth source.

Radio Mode
Using The Radio
The radio is able to receive FM, MW and SW band radio signals.
The band selector switch will allow you to choose from the following:
SW2 - 13.0MHz - 23.0MHz (Short Wave)
SW1 - 3.0MHz - 13.0MHz (Short Wave)
MW - 530KHz - 1600KHz (Medium Wave)
FM - 88MHz - 108MHz (Frequency Modulation)
Tuning The Radio
Fully extend the telescopic aerial carefully before trying to tune the
radio in to an available station. The radio uses an analogue tuner.
Turn the ‘Tuner’ dial in either direction in order to search through
the frequencies until you nd a preferred station.
