contains no user serviceable parts. Doing so will void the
warranty

Prod ct Description
In ra-Red remote controller is very important in the daily li e.
TV, DVD player, Set Top Box and many other appliances
are deployed with this technology. Ordinary remote controls
are only e ective in close range: "line o sight" use.
IRB-100 is the bender that can receive the IR signal rom
your remote controller and retransmit it via an IR probe to
any devices. Such method can extend the angle and
distance o original IR signal. And i IRB-100 is powered via
USB port o your Set Top Box or TV, you can save the space
o your AC outlet. And you can power this unit via an AC/DC
adaptor with USB connector.

Installation and Operation —
IR Receiving probe
Before yo r installation, yo can se an AC/DC adaptor
with USB connector cable (as attached) to feed the
power. Or yo can se the USB cable to power the nit
from the USB port of yo r Set Top Box or TV.
IRB-100 is designed for any TV, and the IR receiving
probe is designed to fit any type of TV set and it can be
folded to 90 degree. In order to make yo r operation
and installation well, please check the application
condition listed.

Application 1: For Slim Type TV Set
Be ore your installation, Please take the IR receiving probe out, its
original design is a lat piece. You can re-arrange the cable like
ollowing steps.
Step 1: loosing the cable
Step 2: Routing the cable as ollowed (make sure that the receiving
probe is ixed and stable)
There are many LED TVs in the market, you need to hook the IR
receiving probe on the back, and let the receiving probe ace to the TV
viewer( you can see the IR receiving window while sitting in ront o TV)
A ter you adjust the correct position, please take out the protective cap
o the dual-sided adhesive tape and adhere to the IR Receiving probe,
then take out another protective cap , to adhere to the desired suitable
position o TV sur ace.

Application 2: For Plasma, LCD or thicker TV
For Plasma, LCD or thicker TV, the receiving probe should be
perpendicular to base sur ace, please ollow the steps
Step 1: loosing the cable
Step 2: take the probe upright
Step 3: ix the cable
In this application, when your TV set is thicker model, you can try this
application, bending the IR Receiving probe like the diagram above,
ixing the cable into the cable seizure mechanism. And make sure that
you can see the IR receiving window rom the ront o TV set.
A ter you adjust the correct position, please take out the protective cap
o the dual-sided adhesive tape and adhere to the IR Receiving probe,
then take out another protective cap, adhere to the desired suitable
position o TV sur ace.

Working with extender probe

Make sure the IR
LED transmitter
probe is sticked toward
IR sensor receiving window with proper position
(about within 0.5M and working angles +/- 15°).

When you inished emitter and receiver installation,
please take the USB Amicro cable, connect the
USB A type to the USB port o your TV set or STB,
the micro type connector to IRB-100.

Care and Maintenance
‧Keep the Bender dry. I it gets wet, wipe it dry
immediately.
‧Use and store the Bender only in normal temperature
environments. Extreme temperature can shorten the li e
o electronic devices
‧Handle the Bender gently and care ully. Dropping it can
damage the circuit board and can cause it to work
improperly.
‧Keep the Bender away rom dust and dirt, which can
cause premature wear o parts.
‧Wipe the Bender with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it
looking new. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning
solvents, or strong detergents.
