3. AIR SUPPLY AND CONNECTIONS
Read section titled "SAFETY INSTRUCTTONS'.
DO NOT USE ANY POWER SOURCE EXCEPT AN AIR COMPRESSOR
The tool is designed to operate on comprsssed air. Do not operats the tool on any other highpressure
gas, combustible gases (e.9., orygen, acetylene, etc.) since there is the danger ol an explosion. For this
reasor\ absolutely do not use arrything other fran an air compressot to operate the tool.
OPERATE W]THN THE PROPEB AIR PRESSURE RANGE
The tooldesigned to operate wilhin an air pressure r,ange ol70 to ltX) p.s.i. {5 to 7 bar.)
The pressure should be adjusted !o the type of the work being lastened. The tool shall never be
operated when tre operating pressuro exceeds 120 p.s.i. (8,bar.)
DO NOT OPERATE THE TOOL NEAR A FLAMMABLE SUBSTANCE
Never operate lhe tool near a flammable substance (e.9., thinneq gasoline, etc.). Volatile fumes lrom
frese substances could be drawn into the compressor and compressed together with he air and this
could result in an explosion.
DO NOT USE AWRONG FITTINGS
The connec{or on the tool must not hold pressure when air supply is disconnected. lf a wrong fitting is
used, the toolcan remain charged with air after disconnecfingand, thus will be able to drive a faslener
even after the air line b disconnected, possibly causing inlury.
DTSCONNECT THE AIR SUPPLY AND EMPTY THE MAGAZINE WHEN THE TOOL IS NOT IN USE
Always dsconnect the air supply lrom the tool and empty the magazine when operation has been
completed or suspended, when unaltended, moving to a differenl work area, adjusting, disassembling,
or repairing lhe tool, and when dearing a jammed fastener.
FITIINGS: lnstall a mde plug on the toolwhich is free flowing and wNch will release
air pressure from the tmlwhen disconnected lrom the supply source.
HOSES: Hose has a min. lD d 114- tG mrn) and mar length of no more than 17- (5
meters).
The supply hose should contain a fitting thal will provide "quick disconnecting' from
the mde plug on the tool.
SUPPLY SOURCE: Use only dean rogulated cnmpressed air as a porer source for
the tool.
}PIECE AIRSET (Air filter, Regulator, Oiler):
Hefer to TOOL SPECIFICATIONS lor setting the correcl operating prsssure for the
tool.
NOTE:
A filter wi[ help to get tlre best performance and minimum wear frorn ths tool because dirt and waler ln
the air supply are maior causes of wear in the tool,
Frequont but not ex@ssive, lubrication is required for the best performarrce. Ol added thru the air line
cornection will lubricale the inlernal pads.
