1 About this operating manual
Dear customer!
Thank you for purchasing this implement, we appreciate your trust.
For optimal use of your new front power system, it is necessary to read this operating
manual completely and conscientiously, and to understand it.
To obtain the long service life for which matev products are known, careful and conscien-
tious maintenance is a strict requirement. However for proper maintenance of your front
power system it is strictly necessary that you have carefully read this operating manual.
Moreover it is not possible for matev to assume liability for damage that is attributed to
improper use or non-intended use of the front power system.
Keep this operating manual where it is easily accessible. This will enable you to refer to
important information and handling instructions as needed.

2 Safety
Guidelines and instructions with which you must comply, are summarized in this section.
Personnel who install, operate and maintain the implements, must have read and under-
stood this operating manual.
2.1 Intended use
The front power system must only be mounted on tractors, type LS J 23/27, it is used for
accommodating small to medium-sized implements, such as snow blades, sweepers, etc.
and must only be connected and operated with such implements. Please note that you
must avoid overloading the front axle, even in heavy-duty implementation (e.g. snow re-
moval). The permissible axle load is specified in the appropriate documentation provided
by the tractor manufacturer.
Attention!
The front power system should not be charged with downward pressure via
the tractor's hydraulic system! For implements that contact the ground or
roll on the ground in operation, the tractor hydraulic system must be
switched to the float setting! Strictly comply with the manufacturer's rec-
ommendation!
The front power system is not suitable for lifting people or for use as a work
platform!
In addition, compliance with the service and maintenance guidelines is a component of
intended use. Moreover intended use includes exclusive use of original spare parts and
supplemental equipment, or use of such parts and equipment that meet the technical re-
quirements specified by the manufacturer.
All other uses are excluded.
Non-intended use causes:
Health hazards for the operator or for third parties
Damage to the tractor and the implements
Immediate invalidation of the guarantee
Environmental damage
To avoid accidents and to reduce the risk of accidents, the relevant accident prevention
regulations and the other generally acknowledged occupational health and safety and
road traffic regulations apply without limitation.
Changes to the front power system and/or the associated accessories invalidate the
guarantee and exclude any liability on the part of the manufacturer for damage due to the
changes.

2.2 Qualifications of personnel
Only persons 18 years of age or older, or instructed persons should install, operate, and
maintain the implements. The operator must have read and understood this operating
manual.
2.3 General safety notices
General safety instructions are explained in this section. These safety instructions are
used in the subsequent chapters. In addition to the safety aspect, you will save money
and work time if you follow these safety instructions.

2.4 Special safety notices
The safety instructions specified in this chapter are also affixed as stickers on the imple-
ments.

Remove the ignition key before performing maintenance tasks on the im-
plement.

Increased risk of accident due to rotating PTO shaft.
Do not enter the work area of the PTO shaft when it is rotating.
For your own safety do not wear any loose clothing, belts, or any other
loose items. Switch off the implement. Wait until all machine parts have
come to a standstill before converting or servicing the implement.

Check all threaded unions prior to using the implement and after using the
implement. Loosened connections must be re-tightened.

Switch off the tractor and remove the ignition key before mounting or dis-
mounting the implements.
Note!
Enter the vehicle ID number of the front power system in section 6, page 19
of this operating manual.
3.1 Mounting the front power system

3.1.2 Mounting the front power system
1. Position the attachment bracket shown in Fig. 2 correctly in front of the tractor.

2. Bolt the attachment bracket to the tractor frame on both sides with 2 screws on the
front and 4 screws on the rear (see Fig. 3).

3. Then hook the front power system into the bearing bracket and secure it with the
arrest bolts shown in the Fig. below.

3.2 Mounting the front power system

3.2.1 Installation of the joystick unit
1. Mount the holder of the joy stick unit, as shown in Fig. 5, on the floor panel, and on
the frame of the tractor.

2. Cut out a hole, 30 mm in size, as shown in Fig. 6 for the cable pulls.

3.2.2 Mounting the front hydraulic extension kit

3. Bolt the hydraulic system console onto the right side of the attachment bracket. To
do this, use the two screws M12 x 40 mm already available on the front power sys-
tem.

4. Now mount the hydraulic couplings on the console and lay out the hydraulic lines
to the connections of the control device.
3.2.3 Attachment of the control device
1. Fasten the holder for the control device, as shown in Fig. 9, with the aid of the pro-
vided M8 screws behind the right rear tire, in the direction of travel. Fasten the
holder for the control device with the two available M12 screws. Drill a hole with M8
thread, as shown in Fig. 10.
