一、Safety Precautions
1.1 Machine Information & operation Instruction
This machine is a walk-behind concrete surface treatment equipment, widely used in
concrete surface treatment of high standard road、warehouse and plaza. structure
including: A. Rotary lever and operating handle assembly; B. Electric motor; C. Gear box;
D. Blade combination E. Protection Circle(See below graphic ), The operator can control
the trowel speed and direction by operating the handle assembly.
Do not use this machine for other purposes except concrete surface finishing,
Otherwise it will result in damage or harm to the operator, and the resulting damage to the
machine will not in quality warranty
Example:
• Operate machine opposite to this manual, particularly non-compliance with safety
warning;
• Use the machine as a ladder, support;
• Use the machine as transporting tool;

• Use this machine trowel surface like mud which are not suitable for machine.
The machine is designed and manufactured accordance with safety standards strictly,
Minimize security risks and improve operator safety, However, there may still be some
security risks.
Example
• Noise;
• Electric shock caused by wrong power operation mode;
• Harms caused by incorrect operation;
• Harms caused by rotating sharp blade;
For the safety of yours and other person, please read carefully before using the
machine and fully understood this manual, Especially the Safety Precautions.
1.2 Safety alert symbol
Safety alert symbol contained in the manual will allow users:
• Learn the alert symbol and precautions on the machine and engine;
• The symbol alert you the risk of injury;
• Avoid or reduce damage to the machine or personal injury caused by misusing.
Safety alert symbols are used to warn the risk which can cause personal
injury.
The significance of these symbol (danger, warning, caution) represented by the
following:
Dangerous Death or serious personal injury will happen if don’t avoid
Warning Death or serious personal injury will happen if don’t avoid
Caution Minor personal injury will happen if don’t avoid
Caution Motor damage will happen if don’t avoid.
1.3 Operation Safety Information
Operate machine only after training, be sure the operator:
• Learn operation instruction well

• Familiar with all safety devices
The people following are prohibited to operate machine:
•Children
• Drunk or taking narcotic drug users
Wear protective tool when operating the machine
• Wear protective clothing
• Wear hearing protection (earplugs, earmuffs, etc.)
• Protective footwear
1.3.1 Do not use accessory or parts which do not included with the machine, to avoid
machine damage or personal injury.
1.3.2 Don’t leave machine when it’s running.
1.3.3 Don’t operate machine without belt cover, belt drive unit can cause serious injury if
no safety proctection.
1.3.4 Don’t operate machine on other surface except concrete.
1.3.5 Do not lift the machine at work area, it may cause the machine to tip over and hurt
the people around
1.3.6 Please wear appropriate work clothes
1.3.7 Please keep in mind moving parts of the machine, make hands, feet, and loose
clothing away from the moving parts to avoid harm.
1.3.8 Before operating the machine, please carefully read, understand and comply with
operational Instructions
1.3.9 Please save the machine when not in use in a clean, dry place and away from
children
1.3.10 When the machine is not in use, completely cut off the current.
1.3.11 Holding safety protection device in the normal position and status, Don’t modify
safety device by yourself; If the safety device damage or failure, do not run
machine.
1.3.12 The operator must be familiar with safety rules and operating precautions before
using the machine

1.4 Electric Motor operating safety regulations
Open-air operation
1、Do not start the motor work in rainy day.
2、The wires and connectors must be checked for damage before starting motor.
3、Turn off the power and find out the malfunction if there is abnormal sound or blade pan
can not rotate after motor starting.
4、The motor ground wire should be connected and reliable; insulation resistance should
not be less than 0.5MΩ.
5、The motor maximum temperature should not be higher than 65 ℃;
6、Motor parking place must be kept dry, the debris and flammable materials is prohibited
to stack on motor.
7、Don’t replace fuse with electric power, don’t use general metal wire instead of fuse
wire.
8、If power outrage happened when motor stay in stopping situation, the operator should
cut off current entirely before leave.
9、Running load should be reduced to a minimum before stop motor, and then switch the
start key to the stop position, and finally cut off the current.
10、Moisture-proof measures should be taken under wet condition or motor is out of use
for a long time. Use the motor which is out of use for a long time, should check the
motor insulation resistance firstly, if insulation resistance exceeds the specified, should
be dried before start.
1.5 Maintenance safety
When repairing or maintenance ,please pay attention to personal protection.
Please wearing tight-fitting clothes which do not interfere with the operation
• Wear safety goggles
• Wear hearing protection device
• Wearing safety shoes
•Remove jewelry
• Coil the long hair or wearing helmets
1.5.1 Do not attempt to clean or service the machine while the machine is running,

otherwise the rotating parts of the machine can cause injury
1.5.2 Do not use gasoline and other flammable materials to clean parts, especially in a
confined space, flammable gas and vapors can cause an explosion.
1.5.3 Do not remove the blade when the machine is lifted
1.5.4 Please don’t replace the blade before placing the machine in a stable
1.5.5 Scraps of paper、dry leaves and other combustible should be not around motor.
1.5.6 Disconnect circuitry before servicing to prevent accidental starting when servicing
motor
1.5.7 Keep the machine clean, clear label, replace missing or ambiguous label, especially
the warning labels
1.5.8 Be careful blade, otherwise sharp blade may cause serious injury
Please use Masalta part when replace or all the part with same parameters.

二、Operation Information
2.1 New Machine Assembly
For the convenience of packaging and transportation, handles and racks are packed
separately before leave factory, and need to assemble new machine before operation.
2.1.1 Machine assembly
Assemble handle and rack, tighten the bolts, adjust the rope and the handle angle,
connect current cable (self-prepared).
2.2 Blade pitch Adjust
The blade pitch can be adjusted by handle(C)
To increase the pitch between blade and floor, turn the handle clockwise;
To reduce the pitch between blade and floor, turn the handle counterclockwise

2.5.1 Adjust handle to suitable operation height
Attention: Don’t adjust handle height while operating
2.5.2 Holding the operating handle, Speed adjustment lever to achieve the appropriate
rotating speed.
the motor output belt transmission drive the rotating of blade pan after decelerated
by reducer(Reduction ratio fixed), Speed control function can be achieved through
the effective control of the diameter of the drive pulley of the motor output.
2.5.3 It can be smoothly troweled while the concrete surface to mention relatively
strong after pulping, the operator leaving the lighter footprint indentation on cement
surface. Press down with left hand, and right hand slightly raised allows the
machine to trowel towards to left, Press down with right hand, and left hand slightly
raised allows the machine to trowel towards to right; Pushed forward steadily with
both hands, the machine trowel forward; Pushed forward steadily with both hands,
the machine forward trowel; Pull backwards steadily with both hands, the machine
trowel backwards
2.5.4 Adjustment different angle according to the concrete surface, adjust the knob to
change the angle of the blade.(See graph 1)
2.5.5 Clean the machine after operation.Do not place the machine on a newly completed
concrete surface, to avoid the machine bonded to the concrete.
