These gloves meet the requirements of EN 13594 (2015). They are especially
developped for motorcycle and scooter use only.
Deze handschoenen zijn getest en goedgekeurd volgens de vereisten van
EN 13594 (2015). Ze zijn speciaal ontworpen voor gebruik op de motor en scooter.

Macna heated gloves

Macna electrically heated gloves have been designed to keep hands warm and
comfortable and can be set at various temperatures. By warming up your hands
when cold, they remain supple as a result, thus helping to reduce fatigue and
increase safety and enjoyment.
Macna electrically heated gloves cannot be combined with components from
other brands of electrically heated gloves. Should this occur, the guarantee
will be invalidated and serious injury may be caused to the wearer, even
resulting in their death.
This pair of heated gloves is supplied together with the following accessories:
Protection
Reduction of injuries to the hand resulting from a fall or caused by friction due to
sliding along the road surface in the event of an accident.
Protection from all but extreme weather.
Protection from the rain, thanks to the integrated waterproof membrane.
Sizes and fit
Using a flexible tape measure, measure the circumference of your hand, without
including the thumb, in order to determine your hand size. Then try both gloves on
and close all fasteners. There should be no restrictions to movements necessary
to operate your motorcycle.
For winter gloves (lined) a slightly looser fit is recommended to enable the
insulation to work better.

In order to provide yourself with the best protection from possible injuries, it is
necessary to extend your motorcycle kit with things such as protective clothing,
a helmet and boots. No form of protection can guarantee that you will not be
injured but the aim is to develop a product that will reduce the risk of injuries to
the protected part of the body.
Wearing protective clothing should not be seen as an excuse to take risks.
Charging batteries
Charge the batteries for 6 hours, until fully charged, before using for the first time.
When the LED indicator on the charger turns green the battery is full.
Connecting batteries
The battery pocket containing the connector cable for the battery is to be found in
the lining of the gloves. Always ensure that the two ends of the cable are pressed
tightly together. Close the pocket once the battery is connected.
Once the batteries are properly attached you are ready to enjoy your electrically
heated gloves.
Follow the steps below to activate and operate your electrically heated gloves.
Using the heating function
The operating button is located on the back of the hand, by the wrist.
Depress the button until the red light in it lights up. This takes approximately
3 seconds. To turn it off, depress the button again until the light goes out.
This will also take about 3 seconds.

The heat given off by the gloves can be influenced by wind-chill and other
environmental factors.
Battery use
The table below indicates how long a charged battery will approximately last.
If the battery is almost empty the light in the operating button will start flashing.
The battery can be charged approximately 200 times.

Use
In order to meet safety requirements it is important to close all fasteners during
use and to ensure that the gloves cannot slide off.
When wearing waterproof gloves we advise tucking the cuff into the end of the
sleeve. That way water cannot run into the glove.
When taking off waterproof gloves it is important to hold on tightly to the tips of
the fingers so that the inside layers, such as the waterproof Raintex membrane,
remain in the correct place.
Ensure that the material is not damaged by sharp objects, particularly if it is a
waterproof glove.
Once the heating function has been turned on you can switch between the 3
different levels of heat.
Level 1 - Red, for maximum heat.
Level 2 - Green/orange, for medium heat.
Level 3 - Green, for low heat.

How well electrically heated gloves work depends to a great extent on the glove’s
fit and the condition of the electrical component parts.
Damaged heating elements:
Damaged heating elements may heat up only sporadically or not at all.
- Do not pull the fingers roughly as this will damage the heating element.
- Do not twist the gloves
If the heating elements no longer work correctly, please contact your dealer
for assistance.
Do not try to repair your electrically heated gloves yourself. This would
invalidate the guarantee and may result in high temperatures, which can
cause burns.
Damaged temperature regulator:
- A damaged temperature regulator may heat up only sporadically or not at all.
- Check whether the temperature regulator is damaged.
- If the temperature regulator does not work correctly, please contact your dealer
for assistance.
- Be careful with the batteries. If you see any damage, stop using the battery
immediately and do not charge it anymore.
- Should the battery leak ensure that it does not come into contact with the skin.
If this does happen, rinse the skin immediately with water. In the event of serious
irritation please consult your GP.
- Do not shorten the cables.
- Batteries are chemical waste. Take them to recycling points intended for this
purpose. Never throw a battery into a fire.
- Excessive and protracted use can lead to burns.

Regularly check that your gloves are still working correctly. If there is considerable
wear to the gloves then they should be replaced.
Before cleaning the gloves disconnect them from the battery.
Do not wash the gloves but wipe them with a damp cloth. Never use
aggressive cleaning products. Do not wring out wet gloves, this will
damage the heating elements. Hang them up to dry, away from direct
heat sources and direct sunlight.

Do not dry in a tumble dryer
Do not dry clean.
We advise you to use leather care products regularly in order to keep the leather
supple.
In order to ensure that your gloves last longer it is advisable to follow the steps
below when storing your gloves.
1. Disconnect the batteries from the gloves.
2. Charge the batteries for 3 hours before they are stored away.
3. The gloves should be completely dry.
4. If the leather is dry treat it with leather wax.
5. Place them back in the storage box.
6. Store both the gloves and the batteries in a cool, dry, well ventilated place.
Ensure the gloves retain their shape. They should not be rolled up or
screwed up as this will damage the heating elements.

Macna elektrisch verwarmde handschoenen zijn ontworpen om de handen
te voorzien van verschillende warmte niveaus en comfort. Door je handen te
verwarmen bij kou, blijven ze soepel, het helpt om vermoeidheid te verminderen
en het verhoogt daardoor de veiligheid en het plezier.
Macna elektrisch verwarmde handschoenen kunnen niet gecombineerd worden
met onderdelen van andere merken elektrisch verwarmde handschoenen.
Hierdoor vervalt de garantie en kan ernstige verwondingen veroorzaken aan
de drager of zelfs leiden tot de dood.
Dit paar verwarmde handschoenen wordt met de volgende toebehoren geleverd:
Protectie
Vermindering van verwonding van de hand, door een val of schuring door glijden op
het wegdek in geval van een ongeluk.
Bescherming tegen alle behalve extreme weersomstandigheden.
Bescherming tegen regenwater, door geïntegreerd waterdicht membraan.
Maten en pasvorm
Meet met behulp van een flexibel meetlint de omtrek van je hand, zonder de duim,
om je handmaat te bepalen. Probeer beide handschoenen en maak alle sluitingen
dicht. Er mogen geen beperkingen zijn voor bewegingen die nodig zijn om je motor
te bedienen.
Voor winterhandschoenen (gevoerd) wordt een iets ruimere pasvorm aanbevolen,
zodat de isolatie beter functioneert.

Om je van de beste bescherming tegen mogelijke verwondingen te voorzien, is
het noodzakelijk om je motoruitrusting uit te breiden, zoals met beschermende
kleding, een helm en laarzen. Geen enkele vorm van bescherming kan garanderen
dat u niet gewond raakt, de basisgedachte is om een product te ontwikkelen dat
het risico op verwondingen aan het beschermde lichaamsdeel reduceert.
Het dragen van beschermende kleding mag niet als excuus worden gezien om
risico’s te nemen.
Batterijen opladen
Laad de batterijen 6 uur lang helemaal op voor het eerste gebruik. Als de LED
indicatie op de lader groen brand is de batterij vol.
Batterijen bevestigen
Binnen in de voering van de handschoen bevindt zich het batterij zakje met daarin
de verbindingskabel voor de batterij. Zorg ervoor dat u de twee kabeluiteinden
goed samendrukt. Sluit het zakje weer wanneer de batterij is bevestigd.
Wanneer de batterijen goed bevestigd zijn ben je klaar om van je elektrisch
verwarmde handschoenen te genieten.
Volg de volgende stappen om je elektrisch verwarmde handschoenen te activeren
en bedienen.
Gebruik van de verwarmings functie
Op de rug van de hand ter hoogte van de pols bevindt zich de bedienings
knop. Houd deze ingedrukt tot het rode lampje in de knop gaat branden. Dit
duurt ongeveer 3 seconden. Om uit te zetten houd je de knop net zo lang in-
gedrukt tot het lampje weer uit gaat. Dit zal ook ongeveer 3 seconde duren.
