cooling. Keep the equip ent away fro direct sunlight. Avoid installing the unit

•Place your CD player on a stable support and use a spirit level to ake sure it
is perfectly level. We reco end the use of a solidly constructed hi-fi rack
with adjustable shelves. In our experience, you will achieve good results with
racks using MDF shelves. Glass, etal or stone is less suitable for use as hi-fi
equip ent supports. Avoid placing the player close to loudspeakers or any
other source of vibration. The 825 will respond to these easures by
perfor ing at its best. Never stack the 825 directly on other ite s of
equip ent. Vibrations fro ains transfor ers and electro agnetic
interference fro other co ponents can have a negative i pact on the
player's sound quality. 800 series products are not suitable for installation in
enclosures such as cabinets.
•Take so e ti e to organize your cabling. Try to keep power cables away
fro interconnect and speaker cables. Shielded power cords can significantly
reduce the transfer of interference to your signal cables.
•Make sure that the polarity of the ains wiring is the sa e for all syste
co ponents. You can achieve this by connecting all syste co ponents
through a single high quality ains distribution board. The lower the
contact resistance between the power outlets of your signal source and your
a plifier, the less the audio signal will be polluted and the better your hi-fi
syste will sound. Connecting your co ponents with the correct ains
polarity is particularly i portant. Use a phase tester to deter ine which pole
is life. Mark the appropriate side. Connect the arked side of the 800
Universal Power Supply to the positive conductor of your power
outlet/distribution board.
•Cleaning and aintenance: To clean your CD player, use a soft cloth. Use a
proprietary glass cleaner to re ove stubborn dirt fro the front panel. Do
not use water! Never use solvents or white spirit. These will cause irreparable
da age to the surface of the unit

type of cable, as this could da age your equip ent! If you need longer SYSCOM

ble of the correct i pedance (RCA = 75 oh ). You can set the sa ple and bit
rate in the enu of the 825. You will find a detailed description of how to do this
in the section Configuration enu/DAC sa ple rate.
