YOUR EQUIPMENT TO ENSURE ITS CORRECT
AND SAFE USE.
These instructions are based on standard definitions of the
equipment.
•It’s possible that some of the content is different from
your equipment, depending on region, operator or software
updates.
•LAIQ isn’t responsible for performance problems caused
by applications from vendors other than LAIQ.
•LAIQ isn’t responsible for performance problems or in-
compatibilities arising from edited registry configurations or
altered operating system software. Trying to customize the
operating system may result in the equipment or software
malfunction.
•Software, sound sources, backgrounds, images and other
multimedia content provided with the equipment are licen-
sed for limited use with LAIQ equipment. Copying and using
these materials for commercial purposes or other means is
an infringement of copyright law. The user is solely responsi-
ble for using them legally.
•Data services, such as multimedia messages, Internet
downloads, automatic synchronization or using location ser-
vices, may have additional costs. To avoid extra costs, choo-
se a data plan suitable for your needs. For more information,
contact your provider.
•Standard applications provided with the equipment might
be updated and/or stop being supported without early war-
ning. If you have questions regarding a provided app or one
that is installed later on, please contact its creator.
•Modifying the equipment’s operating system or installing
software from unofficial sources that alters, corrupts or mo-
difies the original operating system and that is not software
developed for that original operating system (Android™) may
result in the equipment’s malfunctioning and corruption or
loss of data. These actions are a breach of contract with
LAIQ that will void the warranty.
LAIQ isn’t responsible for performance problems or
incompatibilities resulting from the user modifying
registry parameters.
Part of the content and services to which this equi-
pment gives access belong to third parties or is
protected by copyright law, patent, trademark and/
or intellectual property laws. LAIQ doesn’t offer
any guaranties regarding offered content or ac-

Getting Started
Warning:
Please switch off your device before inserting
your SIM/Memory card.
Make sure the SIM cards are correctly aligned
in the tray before inserting it back in the pho-
ne. Please be careful while sliding the SIM tray
back into its place.
Installing SIM card/Memory card
Your smartphone holds two SIM cards / Memory cards. To
install a SIM card in the device, follow the steps mentioned
below:
1. Use the SIM tray tool provided to eject the SIM tray from
the phone.
2. Pull the tray from the phone with your fingers.
3. Correctly insert the SIM cards/memory card in the tray.
4. Correctly insert the tray into its slot on the phone.
Charging the battery
Before using your smartphone, plug it into a standard AC
wall outlet for 4 hours to fully charge the battery.
To charge the battery:
1. Insert the USB cable to the smartphone connector, and

You can quickly call someone or take a pictu-
re in the lock screen. Just slide your finger up
from one of the corners of the screen: the right
corner to open the camera and take a picture;
the left corner to open the phone app and call
someone.

2. Connect the charger to the wall outlet.
3. When the battery is fully charged, the battery icon on the
screen will show as charged.
4. Disconnect the cable from the smartphone and remove
the charger from the wall outlet.
Turning on and off
To turn on your equipment, press and hold the power button
for a couple of seconds until you feel it vibrate and the logo
appears on the screen. To turn the equipment off, press and
hold the power button for a couple of seconds and touch the
Power Off option on the screen.
Locking and unlocking the screen
To lock the device and turn off the screen, press the power
button once. To unlock the screen, press the power button
once, then, slide your finger up on the screen, from the lo-
cked area, in the bottom.
Touchscreen
The touchscreen is the main way of interacting with your
phone and the Android operating system.
•Touch: to interact with the different items on the screen
or to write using the smart keyboard, just touch the screen.
•Touch and hold: Touch and hold your finger on the screen
without letting go until something happens. For example,
to customize the home screen, touch and hold on an empty
area until the menu appears.
•Drag: touch and hold an icon until the animation appears
and, without letting go, move your finger to the new desired
position. You can drag icons around the main screen to repo-
sition them, for example.
•Zoom: To zoom in on pictures or webpages, place two
fingers on the screen and slide them diagonally, in opposi-
te directions. To zoom out, reverse the movement: put two
fingers spread apart on the screen and move them closer,
diagonally.
Connect to a computer
Use the provided USB cable to connect your phone to a
computer. Your LAIQ will show up on the PC as an external
storage drive. You can copy pictures, music and videos from
and to a PC.

Setting up
your phone
Choose a language
After turning on your phone for the first time, you can choo-
se your language. If you don’t want it in Portuguese, touch
where it says Português (Portugal) to choose another lan-
guage. In Vision Settings, you can adjust the phone to your
special needs. Afterwards, touch the yellow arrow to conti-
nue.

Connecting to a Wi-Fi network
It’s advisable that your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi ne-
twork, so you can setup it up. Choose your preferred network
and insert the password to connect to the Internet. If you
don’t want to connect to a Wi-Fi network at this time, touch
the Skip option on the bottom.
Set up your LAIQ Glam
If you have another Android phone or tablet or Google ac-
count, you can copy your backup data. Choose Keep your
apss & data and on the next screen choose from where you
want to import your info. If not, choose Set up as new.

Any e-mail you use to access a Google service
(Gmail, YouTube, Google Play, among others) can
be used as a Google Account.
Setup your Google account
Setup your Google account by entering your Gmail address
and following the instructions. Alternatively, you can create
a new account if you don’t already have one. Although it’s
not mandatory, using your phone with a Google account is
the best way to make the most out of your new phone, as
it allows you to access your e-mails, contacts and calendar
appointments, among others. Your Google account is also
used for backing up your phone and protect data like photos
and phone numbers.
If you already have a Google account, after you log in you’ll
also have access to any apps, e-mails, contacts and other
data previously associated with your account.
Protect your phone
You should protect your phone with a password, PIN number
or fingerprint to avoid having your personal information seen
by strangers. Choose an option and follow the instructions.
