can also play back a wide variety of new file-based media like DivX, DivX Ultra, Xvid, MPEG-4,
WMA, MP3 and JPEG files from disc or directly from USB. You’ll find out more about these new

Refer to the illustration below to connect speakers, subwoofer and antennas. To install the DMR 70 into your current TV sys-
tem, refer to the three configuration examples. Choose from one of them or make your own combination.

SCART video configuration
Both audio and video are passed through the SCART cable. If you connect a device to the SCART 2 on your TV, most TVs will auto-
matically send the audio to the DMR 70.
If a Satellite receiver, set top box, VCR, PC, Games console or MP3 player has digital or analogue audio output, you can connect it
directly to the DMR 70.
S-Video configuration
Video is connected through the S-Video cable to the flatscreen TV. Audio is connected from the TV to the DMR 70.
If a Satellite receiver, set top box, VCR, PC, Games console or MP3 player has digital or analogue audio output, you can connect it
directly to the DMR 70.
Component and HDMI configuration
The Component video output can be connected to plasma and LCD displays (component cables are not included).
HDMI output can be connected to a TV with HDMI input. (Make sure the TV is HDCP compliant otherwise it will not work)
(HDMI cable not included).
Audio from the HD video source is connected directly to the DMR 70
If a PC, Games console or MP3 player has digital or analogue audio output, you can connect it directly.

1. Load
Press to open and close the disc tray.
2. Standby
Turns the DMR 70 on and off
3. Audio
Switches between the Audio inputs: AUX, Optical and
Coaxial.
4. DVD / USB
Switches between playing discs and USB
5. Video
No function.
6. HDMI
No function.
7. Radio
Press the FM / AM button to turn on the radio. The last radio
station you selected can be heard.
Switch between FM and AM by pressing the button.
8. TV
Sound from the TV will output through the connected
speaker system.
9. Numerical keys
Allows you to enter the track/title number of a disc or a
radio station preset.
10. Info
You can check information about the media you are watch-
ing, such as the total number of the titles or chapters or

The information will appear on the TV screen.
Radio mode: Manually stores a radio station.
11. Surround
Press this button to toggle between stereo and different
surround sound modes.
12. Setup
Enters the DMR 70 setup menu, press again to exit.
13. Sound
Press to select individual volume levels for Front Left, Front
Right, Surround Left, Surround Right, Center, Subwoofer,
Treble and Volume.
To adjust the level, press - or +.
14. Menu
Press to enter the DVD menu.
15-19. Navigation buttons
In Setup mode: Selects movement direction in the Setup
menu.
DVD mode: Selects movement direction in the disc menu.
Radio mode: Press up or down to tune the radio frequency.
Pictures: Press left or right to turn the picture 90 degrees
Pictures: Press up or down to flip the picture horizontally or
vertically.
20-22. Amplifier Buttons
Press mute if instant silence is needed.
Change the volume level by pressing the volume -/+.

Selects previous Track/Chapter/Program
24. Stop
Disc mode: Stops playback
Radio mode: Press and hold this button to start automatic
search and storage of radio stations.
Exits an operation
25. Forward
Selects next Track/Chapter/Program
26. Rewind
Disc and MP3 toggles between x2, x4, x8, x16, x32 rewind.
Radio mode: Press and hold down, - the previous radio sta-
tion detected will play.
27. Play/Pause
Press to play or pause playback
28. Fast Forward
Disc and MP3 toggles between x2, x4, x8, x16, x32 fast-for-
ward.
Radio mode: Press and hold down, - the next radio station
detected will play.
29. Shuffle
Press repeatedly to toggle between shuffle and repeat play
modes.
30. Subtitles
Use this function to choose from the subtitles available on
the DVD.
31. Language
Use this function to choose between the available audio
tracks on the film.

DISC LOCK You can prevent play of specific discs with the disc lock func-
tion. Up to 40 discs can be locked.
• Lock – To block the playback of the current disc.
Subsequent access to a locked disc requires a six-digit pass-
word. The default password is ‘000000’
• Unlock – All discs can be played.
DISPLAY DIM Select the brightness of this unit’s display panel.
• 100% – Full brightness.
• 70% – Medium brightness.
• 40% – Dimmest display.
System Setup
To access the DMR 70 setup menu, press “SETUP”.
Use / / / to browse through the menus, and press “OK” to select an item.
To exit System Setup, press “SETUP”.
General Setup
Some changes can only be managed in General and Language setup if the DVD/CD disc is stopped,
by pressing “STOP” twice, or if the disc tray is open.
DIVX (R) VOD CODE The display will show the unique code which you need to
register your player. Once that’s done you can rent and pur-
chase DivX Video On Demand files.
PBC Play Back Control feature is applicable for VCD/SVCD only. It
allows you to play Video CDs (2.0) interactively, following the
menu on the display.
• On – The index menu (if available) appears on the
TV when you load a VCD/SVCD.
• Off – The VCD/SVCD skips the index menu and
plays back directly from the beginning.
LAST MEMORY Turns On and Off the memory of the memorised point at
which the played
DEFAULT If you select this function, all of the functions will be restored
to their defaults.
