Inogen Universal Power Supply
Instructions for Use
OVERVIEW
The Inogen Universal Power Supply (BA-107) is used to power the Inogen One
concentrator from an AC power source or a DC power source. This allows the user
to power the concentrator in the home, in a vehicle or other places where AC or DC
power is available.
DESCRIPTION
The Inogen One Universal Power Supply is specically designed for use with the
Inogen One Oxygen Concentrator (IO-100). The Universal Power Supply provides the
precise current and voltage required to safely power the Inogen One, and is designed
to operate from specied AC and DC power sources. When used with AC power sources,
the supply automatically adapts to input voltages from 100V to 240V permitting use
with most power sources throughout the world.
The Universal Power Supply will charge the Inogen One Battery when used with
AC input power or when used with a DC power supply, such as the one found in your car.
Due to aircraft power limitations, the Universal Power Supply cannot be used to charge
the Inogen One Battery when used on aircraft.
The Universal Power Supply is used with the following components:
• Power Supply with attached power output cable to connect to the Inogen One
• Automobile DC Power Input Cable
• AC Power Input Cable
• Airline DC Power Input Cable

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Ensure the Power Supply is in a well ventilated location as it relies on air circulation for heat
dissipation. It is normal for the Power Supply to be warm during operation.
For Use At Home With AC Power
For operation of the Power Supply using an AC power source, follow these instructions:
1. Connect the AC Input to the Power Supply.
2. Connect the AC Power Plug to the power source and connect the Power Output Plug to the
Inogen One. The green LED will be illuminated, indicating the Power Supply has input power.
NOTE It is not recommended to use an AC plug adapter with the Universal Power Supply.
Use Inogen specied AC Power Input cables for international use.
For Use In Automobile/RV/Boat
For operation of the Power Supply using a DC power source, follow these instructions:
1. Connect the DC Input to the Power Supply.
2. Connect the DC Power Plug (Cigarette Lighter Adapter) to the power source and connect
the Power Output Plug to the Inogen One. The green LED will be illuminated, indicating the
Power Supply has input power.
3. The plug should insert into the socket without excessive force and securely remain in place.
The Cigarette Lighter Adapter comes with a slide switch pre-adjusted to the "narrow"
position. This will t most automobile cigarette lighter sockets. If the Cigarette Lighter
Adapter is loose in the socket, adjust the switch to the "wide" position.
4. Ensure that the automobile power socket is adequately fused for the Inogen One power
requirements (minimum 15 Amp).
WARNING The tip of the Cigarette Adapter Plug becomes HOT when in use. Do not touch the
tip immediately after removal from an auto cigarette lighter socket.
CAUTION Ensure the automobile power socket is clean of cigarette ash and the adapter plug
ts properly, otherwise overheating may occur.
CAUTION Do not use the Universal Power Supply with a cigarette plug splitter or with an ex-
tension cable. This may cause overheating of the DC power input cable.
CAUTION Do not jump start the automobile with the Universal Power Supply connected. This
may lead to voltage spikes which could shut down and/or damage the Power Supply.
CAUTION When powering the Inogen One in an automobile ensure the engine is running.
Operating the device without the engine running may drain the car battery.
CAUTION The Universal Power Supply is intended for indoor use only. It is not water resistant.
CAUTION Ensure the power supply is powered from only one power source (AC or DC) at any
given time. The Universal Power Supply may not operate properly if simultaneously
powered using both AC and DC sources.
CAUTION Do not disassemble the Universal Power Supply. This may lead to component failure
and/or safety risk.
General
To remove power, unplug the input cord from its source (ie, AC wall outlet, car cigarette lighter
adapter).
For Use On Airlines
1. Remove the Battery from the Inogen One Oxygen Concentrator. Due to aircraft power
limitations, the Universal Power Supply cannot be used to charge the Inogen One Battery
when used on aircraft.
2. Connect the appropriate DC Power Plug for the type of available airline power.
Check with airline personnel to ensure compatibility.

Cleaning
Wipe the surface using a slightly dampened cloth with mild detergent. Do not immerse the unit.
Do not clean the unit with isopropyl alcohol or other solvents.
CAUTION For continued protection against risk of re, only use fuse specied.
NOTE Under certain conditions (see Technical Specications) the Universal Power Supply
may shut down. The green LED will blink or will no longer be illuminated. If this
occurs, disconnect the Power Supply for at least 10 seconds and reconnect.
DC Input Cable Fuse Replacement
The Cigarette Lighter DC Power Plug contains a fuse. If the DC Input Cable is being used with
a known good power source and the power supply is not operative (no output power and the
green LED is not illuminated), the fuse may need to be replaced.
To replace the fuse, follow these instructions and refer to the photograph below.
1. Remove the tip by unscrewing the retainer. Use a tool if necessary.
2. Remove the retainer, tip and fuse.
3. The spring should remain inside the Cigarette Lighter Adapter housing. If the spring is
removed, make sure to replace the spring rst before inserting the replacement fuse.
4. Install a replacement fuse, Inogen RP#125 (BUSS MDA-12)* and reassemble the tip.
Ensure the retainer ring is properly seated and tightened.

BESCHREIBUNG
Die Inogen One Universal-Stromversorgung ist speziell zur Verwendung mit dem Inogen
One Sauerstoffkonzentrator (IO-100) vorgesehen. Die Universal-Stromversorgung
liefert den präzisen Strom- und Spannungsbedarf für den sicheren Betrieb des Inogen
One und ist für bestimmte Wechsel- und Gleichstromquellen ausgelegt. Beim
Anschluss an Wechselstromquellen passt sich die Stromversorgung automatisch an
Eingangsspannungen von 100 bis 240 V an, was ihren Einsatz mit den meisten
Stromquellen in aller Welt ermöglicht.
Die Universal-Stromversorgung lädt die Inogen One Batterie aus Wechselstromquellen
oder beim Einsatz mit Gleichstromquellen wie sie bspw. in Kraftfahrzeugen zu nden
sind. Aufgrund von Beschränkungen des Stromnetzes in Flugzeugen kann die Universal-
Stromversorgung dort nicht zum Auaden der Inogen One Batterie benutzt werden.
Für den Einsatz der Universal-Stromversorgung werden die folgenden Komponenten
benötigt:
• Stromversorgung mit angeschlossenem Ausgangskabel für die Verbindung mit dem
Inogen One
• Gleichstrom-Eingangskabel, Kfz
• Wechselstrom-Eingangskabel
• Gleichstrom-Eingangskabel, Flugzeug

GEBRAUCHSANLEITUNG
Sicherstellen, dass sich die Stromversorgung an einem gut belüfteten Platz bendet, so dass
durch zirkulierende Luft Wärmestaus verhütet werden können. Dass sich die Stromversorgung
während des Betriebs warm anfühlt, ist normal.
Nutzung in häuslicher Umgebung – Wechselstrom
Für den Einsatz der Stromversorgung mit einer Wechselstromquelle ist folgendermaßen
vorzugehen:
1. Den Wechselstromeingang an die Stromversorgung anschließen.
2. Den Wechselstromstecker an die Stromquelle anschließen und den Ausgangsstecker an den
Inogen One. Die grüne LED leuchtet, was bedeutet, dass die Stromversorgung Eingangsstrom
erhält.
HINWEIS Der Einsatz von Wechselstromsteckeradaptern mit der Universal-Stromversorgung
wird nicht empfohlen. Im Ausland die von Inogen spezizierten
Wechselstromeingangskabel verwenden
Nutzung im Auto/Wohnmobil/Boot
Für den Einsatz der Stromversorgung mit einer Gleichstromquelle ist folgendermaßen
vorzugehen:
1. Den Gleichstromeingang an die Stromversorgung anschließen.
2. Den Gleichstromstecker (Zigarettenanzünder-Adapter) an die Stromquelle anschließen und
den Ausgangsstecker an den Inogen One. Die grüne LED leuchtet, was bedeutet, dass die
Stromversorgung Eingangsstrom erhält.
3. Der Stecker sollte sich ohne besonderen Kraftaufwand in die Buchse
einstecken lassen und gut sitzen. Der Zigarettenanzünder-Adapter ist mit einem
Schiebeschalter ausgestattet, der auf die „enge“ Position voreingestellt ist. Diese Einstellung
sollte in die meisten Kfz-Zigarettenanzünder passen. Falls der Zigarettenanzünder-Adapter
locker in der Buchse sitzt, den Schalter in die „breite“ Position schieben.
4. Sicherstellen, dass die Kfz-Stromanschlussbuchse für den Strombedarf des Inogen One
korrekt gesichert ist (mindestens 15 Ampère).
WARNUNGDie Spitze des Zigarettenanzünder-Adaptersteckers wird während des
Gebrauchs HEISS. Die Spitze nicht unmittelbar nach dem Herausziehen aus einem
Kfz-Zigarettenanzünder berühren.
VORSICHT Sicherstellen, dass sich keine Zigarettenasche in der Kfz-Stromanschlussbuchse
bendet und dass der Adapterstecker gut sitzt, da es ansonsten zu Überhitzen
kommen kann.
VORSICHT Die Universal-Stromversorgung nicht mit Zigarettenanzünder-Steckersplittern
oder Verlängerungskabeln verwenden. Dies kann zum Überhitzen des
Gleichstromeingangskabels führen.
VORSICHT Den Wagen nicht mit Starthilfe starten, wenn die Universal-Stromversorgung
angeschlossen ist, da dies zu Spannungsspitzen führen kann, die den Ausfall
und/oder eine Beschädigung der Stromversorgung zur Folge haben könnten.
VORSICHT Beim Betrieb des Inogen One im Auto sicherstellen, dass der Motor läuft.
Der Betrieb des Geräts bei Motorstillstand kann die Batterie schwächen.
VORSICHT Die Universal-Stromversorgung ist nicht für den Einsatz im Freien ausgelegt.
Sie ist nicht wasserbeständig.
VORSICHT Sicherstellen, dass die Stromversorgung jeweils nur über eine einzige Stromquelle
(Wechselstrom oder Gleichstrom) gespeist wird. Bei gleichzeitiger Speisung aus
Wechsel- und Gleichstromquellen funktioniert die Universal-Stromversorgung evtl.
nicht einwandfrei.
Allgemeines
Zum Unterbrechen der Stromversorgung das Eingangskabel von der Stromquelle abziehen
(d. h. von der Wechselstromnetzsteckdose, dem Kfz-Zigarettenanzünder-Adapter).
Nutzung im Flugzeug
1. Die Batterie aus dem Inogen One Sauerstoffkonzentrator entnehmen. Aufgrund von
Beschränkungen des Stromnetzes in Flugzeugen kann die Universal-Stromversorgung dort
nicht zum Auaden der Inogen One Batterie benutzt werden.
2. Den geeigneten Gleichstromstecker für die verfügbare Flugzeug-Stromquelle anschließen.
Das Fluglinienpersonal hinsichtlich der Kompatibilität zu Rate ziehen.
