Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this unit. This product is designed to provide high quality wireless sound for your
iPad, iPhone, iPod, computer, PDA or other Bluetooth audio device.
Along with the included Quick Bluetooth Connection Guide this instruction booklet explains the basic
operation and care of the unit. Please read them carefully and keep for future reference.
Maintenance
• Place the unit on a level surface away from sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat.
• Protect your furniture when placing your unit on a natural wood and lacquered finish. A cloth
or other protective material should be placed between it and the furniture.
• Clean your unit with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger cleaning
agents, such as Benzene, thinner or similar materials can damage the surface of the unit.

Setting up the Unit
to Operate on Power
1. Connect the included AC adaptor to the
AC Adaptor Jack on the back of the unit.
2. Connect the plug to a working outlet.
Setting up the Unit
to Operate on Batteries
The unit operates on 4 AA batteries for
portable use. When the sound becomes weak
or distorted, it’s time to replace the batteries
with fresh ones.
1. Turn the unit over and slide open the
battery compartment door located on the
bottom of the unit.
2. Insert 4 AA batteries as shown, making
sure to match the polarity (+ or -) to the
diagram inside the battery compartment.
3. Close the battery compartment.

NOTE: When the unit is connected to a
power source, it will charge a docked
iPad, iPhone or iPod. It will not charge
while operating on batteries.

Playing Audio via Aux-in
1. Un dock (or pause/stop) any currently docked device. Connect a standard 3.5 mm stereo
audio plug to the headphone or line-out jack on your audio device and the other end to the
Aux-in jack located on the back of the unit.
2. Press and hold the Button for about 2 seconds to turn on the unit.
3. Turn on your audio device and place it in play mode.
4. Press and release the Mode Button to toggle the unit between iPod/Aux-in audio mode
and Bluetooth mode (the Button is NOT lit in iPod/Aux-in mode).
5. Use the Volume +/- Buttons to adjust volume. You may wish to adjust the volume on your
audio device, too.
6. When done listening, press and release the Button to turn the unit off. Remember to turn
off your audio device, too.
Playing your iPad, iPhone or iPod
1. Make sure the unit has a power source (4 AA batteries are installed or AC adaptor is
connected). Power output (volume) will be lower when operating on batteries.
2. Press the Dock Release Button on the back of the unit to expose the flexible 30 pin
connector (if dock is retracted).
3. Gently dock a playing iPad, iPhone or iPod. The unit will power on indicated by the power
light turning blue and in a moment, you will hear the audio from your device.
4. If the volume on your sound source is too low, the unit may not detect it/turn on. If this
happens, press the Button to turn the unit on.
5. Control your iPad, iPhone or iPod music using its iPod controls. Use the Volume +/– Buttons
on the unit to adjust system volume.
6. When you are done listening, press the Button to turn unit off.

Using Bluetooth: Pairing Your Device
NOTE: See the iD11 Bluetooth Connection Guide for complete pairing details.
1. Turn on Bluetooth capability on your device and make it discoverable (see your device’s
instructions to add or setup a Bluetooth device).
2. Press and hold the Play/Pause/Pairing Button for about 2 seconds to turn the
unit on in Bluetooth mode. The light will alternately flash blue and green while the unit
attempts to pair.
3. “iD11” should appear in your device’s list of Bluetooth devices; its status display may
indicate “not paired” or “not connected”. Select iD11 to connect. If your device asks for
a password, enter 1234 on the keyboard, keypad or display of your device. If no device
is paired within 3 minutes, the pairing attempt will stop. If this occurs, retry steps 2-3.

Once paired with a device, the light will glow steadily blue. There should be an
indication on your device that pairing is complete. On some devices, you must then select
“Use as Audio Device (stereo)” or similar on the device’s Bluetooth menu. Once paired,
your device should link to the iD11 whenever within range.

Use Bluetooth mode to listen to audio streamed wirelessly from your paired iPad, iPhone, iPod
or other Bluetooth device.
1.Press and hold the Button to turn on the unit in Bluetooth mode. The Button light will
flash as the unit searches for a previously paired device, then turn solid when a previously
paired device is detected. (If unit is already ON, press the Mode Button to toggle the unit
between iPod/Aux-in audio mode and Bluetooth mode (the Button is lit in Bluetooth mode).
2.Press and release the Play/Pause/Pairing Button to play or pause audio from your
Bluetooth device.
NOTE: Play/Pause only controls connected Bluetooth or docked iPad, iPhone or iPod devices.
It does not control aux line-in devices.
3. Use the Volume +/- Buttons to adjust volume.
4. When done listening, press and hold the Button for 2 seconds to turn the unit off.
You can use the unit as a speakerphone for a linked Bluetooth-capable phone during an incoming or
active call. To make a call, dial your phone as usual. To redial the last number called (on phones that
support the feature), press the Button on the unit twice.
1.The Button will flash red and the Button will flash green during an incoming call. When a
call is received, playing music is muted to hear the ring tone.
2.Press the Button to answer the call, or press the Button to ignore it. Use the same controls for
call waiting: press the Button to answer and switch between calls, or press the Button to
ignore a new call.
3. Use the Volume +/- Buttons to adjust speaker volume.
4.When the call is completed, press the Button to end the call and resume previous function.

Troubleshooting
Unit doesn’t respond (no power)
• Check that all connections are correct and properly plugged in. If operating on batteries, make sure
batteries are fresh and are properly installed.
Resetting the unit
If the unit does not respond properly or appears to be “frozen”, you may wish to try resetting it. To do so,
press and hold the +and – Buttons at the same time for 8 seconds until the unit makes a long beep.
Note: Resetting the unit you erase all current settings. You will have to re-pair any Bluetooth devices.
• Make sure you have the latest firmware for your iPad, iPhone or iPod (update via iTunes if needed).
• Make sure your device is working properly.

1.Remove any docked device from the unit.
2.Press gently on the Retracting Dock to store it inside the body of the unit.
3. Place your device sideways in the dock area resting against the back rest.
4.For Aux-in audio: Connect audio cable to the device’s headphone jack to the aux in jack on
the back of the unit, and press and release the Mode Button to access Aux-in mode (make
sure the Button is not lit,indicating iPod/Aux-in mode.
For Bluetooth Audio: Press and hold the Button for 2 seconds to place unit in Bluetooth
mode if unit is off, or press and release the Mode Button to toggle to Bluetooth mode (make
sure the Button is lit,indicating Bluetooth mode.
5.Play the video on your device.
6. Use the Volume +/- Buttons to adjust volume.
7.When done listening, press the Button to turn the unit off.
