1 Introduction
The Wireless 433MHz Receiver provides a fast and simple integration of ICT 4 or 2 button remote transmitters
into any alarm or access control system. The standalone functionality allows for easy, secure operation of gates
or other access areas where convenience is required.
The current features of the Receiver include:
4 operation modes: RS-232, Wiegand, standalone and output control
Per channel digital reception sensitivity using RSSI configuration
600 user (transmitter ID) capacity in standalone mode. Unlimited users in Wiegand pass through mode.
4 open collector programmable outputs
1 FORM C relay output

2 Mounting
The Receiver must be mounted so that the antenna is vertical. If you are mounting the board on its side (as
shown in Option 2), turn the antenna 180 degrees so it is pointing up.

4 System Settings
4.1 Default Configuration
Default Mode: ICT Pass Through
RS232 Default Settings:

4.2 Default Operation
The RF-RCVR is pre-programmed to work with most access control systems out of the box. The Factory
defaults will provide the following functionality:
All ICT Transmitter signals received will be passed through Wiegand Port 1, with the same Site Code and a
unique User Code for each button. The Relay will also activate for 2 seconds when button 4is pressed.
To immediately use this functionality:
Connect Wiegand Port 1 as shown in Figure 1.
Optionally, connect the Relay NO to a digital zone input and the Relay CM to your system's zone common,
for use as a panic/pendant alarm on Button 4.
Each button will now pass a standard 26 Bit Wiegand code to your access control system for each button
press. Use these to control your doors or other functions.

4.3 Custom Operation Setup
To customize the operation of an RF-RCVR unit to match your requirements:
Connect a terminal program such as HyperTerminal with the RS232 settings shown under System Default
Settings in this document.
Press ESC to display the main programming menu.

5 Programming Options
5.1 Mode Programming Menu
Shortcut: Esc , e , Enter
Type 1, Enter to toggle between the following modes:
ICT Pass Through Mode (default mode)
All ICT Transmitter devices will operate.
Custom Site Code Mode
All ICT Transmitter devices will operate with a fixed site code that is programmable in the Site Code
Programming Menu.
Individual User Mode
Only programmed transmitters accepted.
When Site Code or Individual User mode is selected, an extra option will appear at the main menu for modifying
the site code or user details.
5.2 Quick User Programming
Only available when unit is in Individual User Mode.
To add new remotes when Individual User mode is selected:
Hold down the PRG button (on the bottom right hand side of the unit)
Press any button on the new RF-REM4 or 2, and check the RF light flashes when doing so.
The user has now been added at the next available slot in the user list.
5.3 User Programming Menu
Only available when unit is in Individual User Mode.
Shortcut: Esc , f , Enter
The RF-RCVR will store up to 600 individual Transmitter ID numbers for standalone use.

To Add/Modify a User:
Type 1then Enter to edit a user
Type the user number then Enter
Either press any button on the transmitter for this user, or type in the transmitter ID if known. To clear an
entry, type 0, Enter as the TX code.
The menu will automatically prompt for the next user code, enter it as above or press Esc to finish user
programming.
The module will not display previously programmed numbers, it is recommended to make a record of
these when programming.
The RF-RCVR also has a Range Mode which allows for transmitter IDs within a specified range to be accepted
when enabled under standalone use.
To Toggle Range Mode State:
Type 2then Enter to toggle the state of Range Mode.
When Range Mode is enabled, the message Range Mode: On will appear at the top of the User Menu.
By default, Range Mode is disabled.
To Set the Start User:
Type 1then Enter to edit a user.
Type 1 then Enter to select User 1.
Either press any button on the transmitter for this user, or type in the transmitter ID if known. To clear an
entry, type 0, Enter as the TX code.
To Set the End User:
Type 1then Enter to edit a user.
Type 2 then Enter to select User 2.
Either press any button on the transmitter for this user, or type in the transmitter ID if known. To clear an
entry, type 0, Enter as the TX code.
5.4 Site Code Programming Menu
Only available in Custom Site Code Mode
Shortcut: Esc , f , Enter
The RF-RCVR in this mode will accept all RF-REM4 devices with the programmed site code.
To Add/Modify Site Code:
Type 1then Enter to edit the site code
Type the new site code then press Enter
Press Esc to finish programming.
