1. Camera Precautions
Notice the following guidelines when you use the camera:
To avoid a fire or electric shock, do not put this camera in damp or dusty
location.
Do not leave the camera in places subject to extremely high temperatures,
such as in direct sunlight. This may affect the camera exterior case and
internal components.
After the camera is activated, avoid bumping it against hard surface. This may
cause malfunction.
Choose a flat surface free from vibration when placing or storing the camera.
If the lens or the viewfinder is dirty, clean with a lens brush or a piece of soft
cloth.
Under the following situations, have the camera repaired by qualified
personnel:
a) Cable or plug is damaged or worn.
b) It has been dropped and/or the casing has been damaged.
c) Liquid has entered the camera.
Note: For your convenience this camera has been designed to
operate with popular SD (Secure Digital) card.
Hence please obtain and install SD/MMC card (64MB/ 128MB/ 256MB/
512MB capacity) when you wish to take more video clips and images.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B

Charging the Battery Pack
The battery pack is not charged at the time of purchase and therefore needs to be
charged before use. If the battery charge becomes low while you are using the
camera, it is recommended to recharge it as soon as possible.
1. Connect the AC adaptor/ charger to a power outlet.
2. Insert the battery pack onto the charger. When installing the battery pack in the
charger, pay attention to the indicated polarity (+ and -), and insert it correctly.
3. When the battery pack is fully charged, remove it from the AC adaptor/ charger.
CAUTION!
* If there is leaking, discoloration, change of shape, rise in temperature, damaged
exterior, strange odor or any other abnormal condition, immediately discontinue
use and remove the battery pack form the camera, taking care to keep it well away
from fire.
* To conserve the environment and for efficient use of natural resources, please
discharge the used battery pack, cover the (+) and (-) terminals with tape and
recycle the insulated battery pack.
* If disposing of the battery pack as unburnable trash, please follow all applicable
regulations of your area.

. Installing the Battery Pack
1. Open the battery cover by lightly pressing and sliding it.
2. Fit in the battery with its label facing upward.
3. After the battery is set, close the cover.

1. Insert SD card into memory card slot and push it all the way in.
(Optional accessory)
2. To remove the card, press it to eject SD card.
When the optional SD card is installed:
* All images by default will be automatically stored in SD card.
* With SD card installed, the images/video clips/ audio clips in built-in memory
cannot be played back. To playback the images/video clips/ audio clips in built-in
memory, remove SD card first.
* When you format camera, it would format the images/video clips/ audio clips on SD
card only. To format the images/video clips/ audio clips which on built-in memory,
remove SD card.

3.QuickStart
. Using the LCD Monitor
1. Put your finger on the convex as illustrated to open the LCD Monitor.
2. Adjust the LCD Monitor angle according to the desired recording/playing angle.
The LCD Monitor can rotate up to angle 270∘maximum.
