StrongArm M50 Components
The same call outs used on the StrongArm M30 match the StrongArm M50 components. To review the exploded
parts and terminology, refer to the previous page. The StrongArm M50 differs in the size and strength of its
components. For example, it uses anchor bolts that are 12-inches long (30 cm), more rebar, a deeper foundation,
larger and heavier pivot and catch posts, triple restraining strap in the upper barrier arm, and more horsepower
depending on the clear opening and motor/pump pack conguration.

Important safetY InformatIon
WARNING
Read all the product safety information prior to installation. Automatic StrongArm M30 and StrongArm M50 operators
(hereafter referenced as M30/M50) move the fortied crash barrier arm with high force and can cause serious injury and
death! Start the operator only when the travel path of the M30/M50 Arm is clear. Make sure the automatic StrongArm
M30/M50 system is installed to reduce the risks of entrapment. Verify the StrongArm M30/M50 is installed to comply
with all safety standards and local and federal regulations.
Understand that you as the site designer, installer, maintenance crew, or owner/user must consider the risks associated with
StrongArm M30/M50 operators. Be sure to take responsibility, read, and follow the Important Safety Information in this
manual and review all the literature that accompanies the product.
It is critically important that only qualied personnel install a HySecurity Crash product. A “qualied” installer has completed
all of the following:
• Evidence and documentation of successful installations of similar equipment.
• Proof of attending a HySecurity Crash product Technical Training seminar within the past three years.
• Signicant manufacturer endorsements of technical aptitude in drop arms, fortied crash barrier arms and crash
wedge installation and operation.
