TheSmartPSB2000Lsmart PV safety box (safety box for short) is a key component that implements rapid

shutdownand module monitoringfor HuaweiSUN2000P-375Wsmart PV optimizers. Thesafety box is easy to

install,operate, and maintain.

Shutdownbutton

NOTICE

Rapidshutdownmeans that the power generationsystemconsisting

of optimizers, smart PV safetyboxes, and invertersdecreasesthe DC

voltage to the safe voltage range (≤ 30 V) within the specified period

(≤ 30s).

No.

Description

Tworoutes of output terminals, cable length(includingterminals)250 mm

An LED indicatorshowingthe runningstatus of the safety box

Tworoutes of input terminals, cable length(includingterminals)150 mm

RS485communication, PE, and 12 V powercables, 340 mm long

reserved.

Prerequisites

An optimizer is installedfor each PV module, and

the rapid shutdownfunctionof the safety box is

enabled.

Triggerby

button press

If the shutdownbutton (

) is pressed,the safety

box enters the rapid shutdownstate. TheLED

indicatoris steady red, and the inverterturns off the

AC output. Thisproductcannot be used as a

substitutefor the emergency stop switch.

If the shutdownbutton (

) is released,the safety

box exits the rapid shutdownstate. TheLED

indicatoris steady red within 10 minutes. Theoutput

voltagesof the optimizer and inverterare restored

10 minutes later. TheLEDindicatorof the safety box

changesfrom steady red to steadygreen.

Triggerby

powerfailure

If the AC power fails, the safety enters the rapid

shutdownstate. Theinverterand optimizer stop

output and communication.TheLED indicatorsof

the safety box and inverter are off.

If the AC power resumes, the inverter, optimizer,

and safety box restore to the normal state.

2Installation and Cable Connections

WiringDiagram

1. Each inputof the safetybox supportsserialconnectionof

up to 15 optimizers, and the stringvoltage shouldbe less

than 600 V DC.

2. After the cord end terminal is removed, the PE cable of the

safety box and the communication PE cable of the power

meter can be connectedtogetherto the communication

terminal (pin 8) of the inverter.

NOTE

1. Install the safety box under or on a side of an

inverterwith the deliveredM6x60 expansion

bolts. It is recommended that an M8 drill bit

be used to drill holes.Thetorque shouldbe

4.5–5.5N·m.

2. Connectthe RS485communications, PE,

and 12 V powercables from the safety box to

the correspondingporton the inverter.

3. Connectthe output terminals of the safety

box to the DC input ports of theinverter (one

route is used as an example in the right

figure).

4. Connectthe input terminals of the safety box

to the output ports of the optimizer string

(one route is used as an example in the right

figure).
