We would like to congratulate you on having chosen a self-winding automatic watch HINDENBERG. Your HINDENBERG
watch has undergone a number of quality control and accuracy tests before leaving our workshops and being transferred to
the selective HINDENBERG authorized distribution network. To ensure that your HINDENBERG watch functions perfectly for
many years, here is some advice from our master watchmakers:
A watch with a self-winding mechanical movement is automatically wound by its wearer‘s everyday wrist movements. Becau-
se of this, the watchband must be correctly tted to the wearer’s wrist. If the watchband is too loose, the watch may lose
some of its autonomy, and therefore its precision. To keep your watch optimally wound, wear it at least 12 hours every day.
Before wearing your watch, you must wind it manually by turning the crown clockwise approximately 40-50 turns. After
wearing your watch for several hours, depending on your activity level, the watch will be perfectly wound. If the watch stops
(e.g. if it has not been worn for some time or during periods of low activity), it should be wound manually.
The name HINDENBERG guarantees a quality watch movement of the greatest precision. The average deviation of a HIN-
DENBERG automatic watch should not exceed -5 to +30 seconds per day.
Wear your mechanical watch regularly to ensure that the lubricating oil in the movement remains uid. Do not leave your
watch anywhere where it might be subjected to major variations in temperature or humidity (e.g.bathroom, sauna) in direct
sunlight or near strong magnetic elds such as loudspeakers, refrigerators, mobile phones, etc.

When the warranty of your watch expires, we recommend you to send it in for
a revision to ensure its longevity. A revision should optimally be conducted
once a year to counteract general wearout and to maintain the water-resistance
of your watch.
INITIAL SETTING
When setting the watch for the rst time, unscrew the crown by turning it coun-
ter-clockwise and wind it at least 45 times.
SETTING THE DATE
Pull the crown carefully out to position 1 (one click position) and turn it coun-
ter-clockwise to the date required.
SETTING THE TIME
Pull the crown carefully out to position 2. Turn the crown in either direction to set the
current time. Then press the crown back in and bolt it by turning it clockwise.

Straps in fabric, leather and alligator or python skin
• Avoid all contact with water (baths, showers etc). However, despite your care and attention, leather is a natural,
living material and its color will fade a little over time.
• Avoid contact with chemical products (solvents, detergents, cosmetics, etc.). They may damage the bracelet and
the water-resistance gaskets.
We recommend avoiding direct exposure to the sun’s rays because the temperature of the watch can rise above 60°C
(140°F). This risks damaging the movement. Prolonged exposure to Ultra Violet rays can alter the colors of some parts
(leather strap, dial etc.). Avoid all violent shocks such as dropping the watch. Apart from damaging its appearance this can
cause premature wear in materials and components which may affect the performance of the watch.
When you set the time
• Avoid changing the date between 8:00 pm and 4:00 am.
• Once the changes are made, push the crown back in and (depending on the model) screw it down against the
case to preserve its water-resistance.

International Warranty
Your Hindenberg watch is guaranteed free from all manufacturing defects for a period of 24 months from the date of
purchase, subject to the following conditions. Any part found by our technical services to be defective as a result of manu-
facturing defects will be, at the sole discretion of Hindenberg, repaired or replaced free of charge. In order to benet from
this guarantee, you will be required to present the Hindenberg Certicate of Authenticity and your invoice of an authorized
Hindenberg retailer. Please keep the certicate and the invoice in a safe place.
The international guarantee does not cover the following matters:
- glass
- strap
- damages not attributable to material or manufacturing defects. These are, e.g. violent shocks, extreme temperatures and
strong magnetic elds, as well as those resulting from handling by individuals not authorized by Hindenberg®
In order to benet from guarantee services under the International Guarantee, you shall contact the authorized Hindenberg
retailer where you bought your Hindenberg watch and present your Hindenberg watch and the Hindenberg Certicate of
Authenticity. You may alternatively send your Hindenberg watch, with the Hindenberg Certicate of Authenticity and your
invoice to the ofcial Hindenberg After-Sales Service Center at the address mentioned on the website: http://www.hinden-
bergwatches.com. In this event, the customer is responsible for mailing costs.

International Warranty
Hindenberg oers you the option to extend the manufacturer‘s warranty for your watch from 24 to 48 months. To use this
option, you must rst register your watch within the regular warranty period. To do this, please ll out the warranty form at
https://www.chronos-manufactures.ch/garantie/hindenberg or scan the QR code on the enclosed warranty card.
You will then be asked to upload your invoice. After successful registration, you will receive a certicate by e-mail for your
records.
Towards the end of the guarantee period, you will receive an e-mail from us asking you to send in your Hindenberg watch
for an inspection, for which a charge is payable. In the course of this revision, our watchmakers will check whether your
watch is in perfect working order and will x any defects and aws. After the inspection, you will receive a new guarantee
for your watch, which will be valid for another 24 months.
If you make regular use of this service, you will enjoy your watch for a lifetime.

Qualitäts- und Präzisionstests durchlaufen, bevor sie unser Haus verlassen hat und an die von HINDENBERG autorisierten
Wiederverkäufer ausgeliefert wurde. Damit Ihre HINDENBERG-Uhr während vieler Jahre einwandfrei funktioniert, nden Sie
nachstehend einige Empfehlungen unserer Uhrmachermeister:
Eine mechanische Uhr mit automatischem Aufzug wird durch die Handbewegungen ihres Trägers aufgezogen. Deshalb
muss das Armband richtig an das Handgelenk angepasst werden. Ein zu lockeres Armband kann zu einer Verringerung der
Gangreserve und der Präzision führen. Um einen optimalen Aufzug zu gewährleisten, sollte die Uhr jeden Tag 12 Stunden
getragen werden.
Bevor Sie Ihre Automatikuhr anlegen, müssen Sie sie manuell durch Drehen der Krone im Uhrzeigersinn aufziehen (ca. 40-50
Umdrehungen). Nachdem Sie die Uhr einige Stunden (die Zahl hängt davon ab, wie aktiv Sie sind) getragen haben, ist sie
vollständig aufgezogen. Sollte die Uhr stehen bleiben (z. B. wenn sie längere Zeit nicht getragen wird oder in Zeiten geringer
Aktivität), muss sie manuell aufgezogen werden.
Der Name HINDENBERG steht für Qualitätsuhrwerke von höchster Präzision. Die durchschnittliche Abweichung der Gang-
genauigkeit einer HINDENBERG Automatikuhr sollte nicht mehr als -5 und +30 Sek./Tag betragen. Eine mechanische Uhr
sollte regelmäßig getragen werden, damit das im Uhrwerk enthaltene Öl nicht erstarrt. Lassen Sie die Uhr nicht an Orten mit
starken Temperatur- oder Feuchtigkeitsschwankungen (Bad, Sauna) bzw. im direkten Sonnenlicht oder in der Nähe starker
Magnetfelder liegen (z. B. Lautsprecher, Kühlschrank, Mobiltelefon etc.).

Wir empfehlen Ihnen eine Revision bei Ablauf Ihrer Garantie durchzuführen,
um die Langlebigkeit Ihrer Uhr zu gewährleisten. Diese sollte optimalerweise
einmal jährlich durchgeführt werden, um allgemeinem Verschleiß entgegenzu-
wirken und auch die Wasserdichtigkeit Ihrer Uhr aufrecht zu erhalten.
ERSTE INBETRIEBNAHME
Lösen Sie die Verschraubung der Krone, indem Sie diese gegen den Uhrzeigersinn
drehen. Drehen Sie nun die Krone mindestens 45 Mal, um die Uhr aufzuziehen.
DATUM EINSTELLEN
Krone in Position 1 bringen und gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen, bis das gewünsch-
te Datum erscheint.
ZEITEINSTELLUNG
Krone in Position 2 bringen. Zeiger durch Drehen der Krone auf die gewünschte Zeit
einstellen. Krone zurückdrücken und verschrauben.
