1.1 About this User’s Guide
This user’s guide contains information about the USB ISDN adapter
WebShuttle II
. It enables you to surf the Internet using your com-
puter, send and receive files via FTP and use electronic mail.
The second chapter guides you through the installation of the soft-
ware, the setup of the
WebShuttle II
, and provides some recommen-
dations for a successful start when using the product for the first time.
The chapter ‘Using W

II’ shows you different ways to
access the Internet.
A detailed reference section can be found in the fourth chapter of this
user’s guide. Every dialogue box, menu and window is listed with its
features and how to use them.
The appendix contains tips for solving problems and the technical
specifications of the
WebShuttle II

The “WebShuttle II CD” also contains the software for using
WebShuttle II
with a Mac OS based computer and the
WebShuttle II Mac OS User’s Guide. The latter is accessible only on a
Macintosh computer.

You need the following components to use
WebShuttle II

•Acomputer with Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, or
Windows XP running.
•Afree USB port at the computer or on a USB hub.
• An ISDN S

line in reach of the computer.

with a Macintosh. Please see
the Macintosh User’s Guide for requirements and additional informa-
tion. You’ll find it on the WebShuttle II CD-ROM.
