3. GENERAL SAFETY RULES

SWITCH OFF THE ENGINE AND ENSURE THE TRACTOR’S RAKES
ARE ON EFORE WORKING ON ITS MACHINERY.
1) Whenever connecting or disconnecting the machinery, make sure that you stand to one
side of the tractor and check that the bolts are properly fixed in place.
2) Always use suitable clothes and shoes and avoid the use of long or loose clothing.
3) Whenever you want to leave the tractor, even for a short time, observe the following:
a) Place the machinery on flat and stable ground;
b) Switch off the ignition and remove the key;
c) Activate any braking systems.
4) Never allow any people close to the machinery when it is in use. This prevents the risk of
them being injured by the machinery or by any foreign bodies thrown out of it.
5) Do not transport people on agricultural trailers.

a) Placer l’équ pement sur un terra n plat et stable ;
b) Éte ndre le contact et ret rer la clé ;
c) Act onner le système de fre nage correspondant.
4) Ne permettez jama s que d’autres personnes s’approchent lorsque l’équ pement se trouve en cours
d’ut l sat on, vous prév endrez a ns tout r sque que ces personnes so ent atte ntes par la mach ne ou par un
corps étranger qu’elle pourra t projeter.
5) Ne pas transporter de personnes dans les remorques agr coles.

4. MACHINE’S DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION DE LA MACHINE
The function of the manure spreader trailers produced by Herculano is to transport manure
and to spread it onto agricultural land.
It is made up of:
A tow bar, to link the trailer to the tractor to tow it whenever necessary.
An open box with a rear door that is operated hydraulically. This allows for the storage of the
manure that will be spread on the ground. The floor of the box is made up of three chain
drives, which are joined by equidistant bars that allow manure to be thrown outwards. These
chain drives fit into cogs that are coupled to a drive shaft located towards the rear of the trailer,
which is connected to the hydraulic transmission system. At the front of the trailer there are
two spinners that guide and adjust the chain drives. At the front of the trailer there are two
sprockets that guide and adjust the chain drives. A system to adjust the tension of the chain
drives can be found towards the front (side) of the trailer. This tension should be periodically
verified in order to obtain the best performance. The rotating movement is transferred to the
vertical rollers by a transmission shaft, which is driven by the drive shaft linked to the tractor’s
power take-off (PTO).
The trailer is equipped with a parking break, which must be applied whenever the tractor is
disconnected from the trailer.

hydraul que. À l’avant se trouvent deux p gnons qu gu dent et ajustent la chaîne. On peut trouver un système
de réglage de la tens on des chaînes sur la part e frontale (latérale) de la remorque. Il est nécessa re de contrôler
pér od quement cette tens on af n d’obten r en permanence le me lleur rendement. La transm ss on de mouvement
de rotat on aux rouleaux vert caux se fa t par l’arbre de transm ss on qu est act onné par un cardan rel é à la
pr se de force du tracteur.
La remorque possède un fre n de stat onnement qu devra être act onné à chaque fo s que la remorque est dételée
du tracteur.
