MAINTENANCE
The HEPA filter has been tested and certified for one
year. The HEPA filter provided with the HFAIR2100
negative air machine is a robust, long lasting filter that
has been tested and certified at the time of shipment.
The HEPA filter, however, is made from a paper media
that must be protected if there is chance it will be
exposed to moisture.
Before Each Use: Inspect for damage to electrical cord,
controls, and filter box, and check negative air machine
for a clean pre-filter.
Short term intervals: Inspect pre-filter for accumulated
dust and debris that could restrict airflow through the
filter. If filter is damaged or visibly dirty, change the pre-
filter.
Long term intervals: Whenever damage is suspected or
at a decrease in airflow, the HEPA filter should be re-
certified and replaced as required. Testing is
recommended annually, at a minimum.
When using in a healthcare application or for
remediation: To mitigate the risk of cross-
contamination, replace both of the filters and clean the
unit thoroughly. Use a damp wipe and vacuum as
required. Allow unit to dry before installing new filters.
CHANGING THE FILTERS
Prefilter: Change the pre-filter whenever it shows
accumulation of dust and debris or when pre-filter
indicator is illuminated. Always change the pre-filter
between jobs where dangerous contaminants were
present.
1. Unplug the power cord from line voltage power
source.
2. Use slots in the bottom of the inlet to push pre-
filter up. Grasp filter and remove.
3. Replace with new filter by placing the new filter into
the slot. Ensure filter is fully inserted and seated
against the bottom of the housing.
HEPA Filter: Re-certify HEPA filter on an annual basis
and replace if shows signs of damage or reduced airflow
or if HEPA filter indicator is illuminated. Always change
the HEPA filter between jobs where potentially
dangerous contaminates are present.
1. Unplug the power cord from line voltage power
source.
2. Rotate negative air machine into the vertical
position.
3. Remove (4) four thumb screws from endplate and
remove endplate.
4. Remove the dirty HEPA filter.
5. Carefully install clean HEPA filter. Note direction of
airflow and ensure filter gaskets are facing down.
6. Replace endplate.
7. Reattach (4) four thumb screws. Ensure these are
tightly fastened to ensure a good seal.
8. Test for proper operation and have the unit re-
certified.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION
Always use care when transporting the HEPAFORCE®
HFAIR2100 negative air machine. Use handles to rotate
machine onto wheels at one end and push. Machine can
be stored in a vertical orientation to minimize footprint.
•When transporting on uncovered trucks take
care not to expose to moisture. Additionally, be
sure to strap the machine down.
•Do not store outdoors.
•Use care when loading and unloading from
trucks.
