On opening the package, check carefully in order to make sure that the appliance

is intact and there is no sign of deterioration. If in any doubt, please immediately

contact the producer, Hedone Cafe, for support in solving this matter. Packaging

materials must be collected and processed in compliance with the safety rules

and legal provisions in force.

Keep out of children reach!

• WARNING! Incorrect installation of the coee grinder could lead to

damaging the appliance, for which the producer cannot be held responsible.

Before operating and using the professional coee grinder, carefully read

the instructions and follow the information provided.

• The appliance must be placed on a stable, at surface.

• Do not install the appliance in environments with extreme temperatures,

exposed to rain or sunlight.

• Make sure the appliance is not placed on the power supply cable.

• Make sure the voltage and frequency values of the mains supply correspond

to the ratings indicated on the technical data sheet of the appliance.

• It’s compulsory to earth the appliance and connect it to a ground power

supply. Previously, make sure the grounding connections are functional.

• WARNING! Inserting foreign objects (such as stones, metal etc.) causes a

rapid deterioration of the appliance.

• Cold grinding, 500 rotations / min, by gearing down the speed of the

magnetic motor;

• The possibility of grinding two types of coee, having a very low retention in

the superior knife’s cylinder that is smaller than 0.4 grams;

Installation and commissioning

1. Before you install and start using the appliance, make sure that all protection

sheets are removed;

2. Connect the power cord (no. 12) to the mains supply (220V, 50-60 Hz);

3. Start the appliance, using the On/ O button, which is positioned in the rear of

the appliance (no. 11);

4. Charge the two containers (no. 1) with coee. Each container has a capacity of

1000 grams of coee beans. e recommended quantity for each container is

approximately 400 grams of coee beans in order to avoid the direct contact of

the coee with external agents (air, humidity) causing oxidation;

5. Fix the port lters into the corresponding holder by using the two port lter

clamping arms (no. 10);

6. Pull the coee blocking blade (no. 13) positioned at the base of each coee

container in order to release the channel through which the coee beans ow.

7. In order to charge the grinding chamber with coee, use the lever of the

volumetric charger (no. 4) positioned at the side of each container by sliding it;

8. e volumetric charger has a capacity of 8.3 - 8.5 grams of coee / activation. To

charge with a double portion of coee, slide the lever twice in a row;

9. WARNING! e lever must be brought to the front side of the appliance.

Otherwise, the engine will function without stopping, which could lead to a

rapid deterioration by short-circuit or by burning;

10. Wait for approximately 16 seconds, until the process of grinding the coee

beans is completed;

11. Aer this short period of time, you can remove the porta lter with ground

coee;

12. e appliance is equipped with 2 counters positioned at the base of each coee

container. eir role is to count and record each use. us, it is possible to keep a

clear evidence of the number of uses and the number of ground coee portions.

Setting up the granulation

1. WARNING! Setting up the coee granulation according to the prole of the

coee beans must be done while the appliance is turned o. Please make sure

the appliance is turned o.

2. Aer making sure the appliance is turned o, loosen the blocking wheel

positioned in the side part of the appliance (no. 6);

3. To set a larger sized granulation, revolve the cylinder of the superior knife (no.

9) in clockwise direction, following the displayed numbers. To set a smaller

sized granulation, spin it counterclockwise, towards small numbers.

4. WARNING! Aer you set the proper granulation, the locking wheel must

be tightly screwed in order to reach the correct position (g. 2). In case it

remains loosened (g. 1) while the process of pulling the coee beans into

the grinding chamber begins, the appliance is at risk of blocking and would

stop working. It can be unlocked only by authorized personnel from the

producer’s service.

Cleaning and maintenance

Any maintenance or cleaning operation must be performed only aer the appliance

is unplugged. Never use materials with abrasive action. For proper cleaning, use a

damp cloth, very well squeezed, as well as specic cleaning products such as stainless

steel/aluminum solutions. Never use a direct water jet on the appliance.

Parts that come into direct contact with the coee beans can be cleaned separately,

by hand, with water and liquid detergent. Never use the dishwasher. e tray from

the base of the appliance can be easily removed for ecient cleaning.

WARNING! Aer a quantity of approximately 800 kg of ground coee, you should

contact the producer for either a deep cleaning of the knives, or for changing them.

Possible situations encountered in case of a

faulty operation of the appliance

In case you have problems using the appliance, please check the following

before contacting a representative of the producer:

1. Blocked grinder

Try to loosen the cylinder of the superior knife (no. 9), rotating counterclockwise

(to the small numbers displayed on the cylinder) and gently tap with a plastic or

wood object. Never use a metallic object.

2. Foreign objects in coee

Turn on the appliance, slide the lever of the volumetric loader (no. 4) and

completely unscrew the cylinder of the superior knife (no. 9) until all coee

beans are grinded. Subsequently, the cylinder (no. 9) should be screwed until

you hear the noise of touching blades. After that, you can loosen the cylinder as

much as it is necessary to obtain the optimum granulation, in accordance to the

prole of the coee beans (see the steps for setting the granulation).
