Safety and installation information

The observance of applicable standards and government safety organi-

sation regulations as well as of the provisions of your local power company

is mandatory.

Any work on live components may only be performed by a trained elec-

trician. When working on the control system, disconnect all poles of the

mains supply by an isolating link. This link must be marked accordingly.

The control system must be protected against accidental actuation.

No wires conducting 24 V DC must be laid together with electric power

lines (follow VDE or equivalent regulations).

All wire lengths and cross sections must correspond with the technical

speciﬁcations.

Check all functions of the control system after the completion of the

installation.

Die DIN, VDE sowie Vorschriften der Berufsgenossenschaften und die

Landesbauordnung sind zwingend zu beachten (Auswahl VDE 0100,

VDE 0833, VDE 0800, BGV).

Alle Arbeiten an netzspannungsführenden Bauteilen dürfen nur durch eine

Elektrofachkraft durchgeführt werden. Bei allen Arbeiten an der Steuerung

ist die Netzspannung allpolig abzuschalten. Die Steuerung ist gegen

unbeabsichtigtes Wiedereinschalten abzusichern. Für die Netzzuleitung ist

eine separate und gekennzeichnete Vorsicherung vorzusehen.

Alle Leitungen, die 24 V DC führen, sind nicht mit Starkstromleitungen zu

verlegen (VDE-Vorschriften beachten). Die Leitungslängen und Leitungs-

querschnitte sind gemäß der technischen Angaben auszuführen.

Nach der Installation der Steuerung sind alle Funktionen zu überprüfen.

Sicherheits- und Montagehinweise

Functional description

With the Multi sensor MS it is possible to measure an display the values

for temperature, humidity and quality of the air. It is also possible to deter-

mine treshold levels for ventilation control.

By determining the treshold levels, the functioning of a pushbutton will be

simulated:

min. = “Window CLOSE”, max. = “WINDOW OPEN”.

If a value exceeds or falls below a deﬁned adjusted value,

a smoke and heat exhaust ventilation system (SHEV) or ventilation system,

which is connected via potential-free contacts, opens or closes.

Functions:

- display of temperature, relative humidity and quality of air

- programming of min./max. values

- potential-free switches for min./max. values

- integrated ventilation pushbutton

- switch off MS possible, so that by reaching the treshold levels no release

- from ﬁrmware version 2v00: automatic re-start in automatic mode after

voltage interruption (if previously adjusted)

Note for connection to WLAN-Box / ConﬁgTool:

The multisensor MS can be connected to a WLAN box or the ConﬁgTool

for easy conﬁguration or readout of the values with display via the

ConﬁgApp.

Links via HAUTAU bus with „if-then“ conditions in connection with drives

are not possible. This requires a home automation app, such as the

mediola system. Further information at www.mediola.de

Funktionsbeschreibung

Mit dem Multisensor MS ist es möglich, die Luftwerte Temperatur,

Feuchte und Güte zu messen und anzuzeigen, sowie Schwellwerte zur

Lüftungssteuerung festzulegen.

Durch die Festlegung der Schwellwerte wird die Funktion eines Tasters

simuliert:

Min. = ”Fenster ZU”, Max. = “Fenster AUF”.

Wird ein bestimmter eingestellter Wert über- bzw. unterschritten, so öffnet

bzw. schließt eine über potentialfreie Kontakte angeschlossene RWA-

oder Lüftungsanlage.

Funktionen:

- Anzeige von Temperatur, relativer Luftfeuchte und Luftgüte

- Programmierung von Min.-/Max.-Werten

- potentialfreie Schalter für Min./Max.-Werte

- integrierter Lüftungstaster

- Abschaltung des MS möglich, so dass keine Auslösung bei Erreichen

der Schwellwerte erfolgt

- ab Firmware-Version 2v00: automatisches Wiederanlaufen in den

Automatikmodus nach einer Spannungsunterbrechung (falls zuvor

eingestellt)

Hinweis zum Anschluss an WLAN-Box/ConﬁgTool:

Der Multisensor MS kann an eine WLAN-Box oder das ConﬁgTool zur

einfachen Konﬁguration oder zum Auslesen der Werte mit Anzeige über

die ConﬁgApp angeschlossen werden.

Verknüpfungen per HAUTAU-Bus mit „Wenn-Dann“ Bedingungen

in Verbindung mit Antrieben sind nicht möglich. Hierfür wird eine

Heimautomation-App benötigt, wie zum Beispiel das mediola-System.

Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch

Der Multisensor MS ist ausschließlich zum Erfassen und Auswerten von

Luftwerten wie Temperatur, relative Luftfeuchte und Luftgüte (VOC 1,

überwiegend CO2) für die Steuerung von RWA- und Lüftungsanlagen

geeignet.

Beachten Sie die technischen Daten sowie die gültigen Bestimmungen.

Alle Einsatzfälle oder Änderungen am Multisensor MS, die nicht dem

bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch entsprechen, sind ausdrücklich verboten.

Bei Nichteinhaltung übernimmt der Hersteller keine Haftung für Schäden an

Personen oder Material.

Intended use

The Multi sensor MS is suitable only to measure and evaluate air values

like temperature, relative humidity and quality of the air (VOC 1, mainly

CO2) to control SHEV and ventilation systems.

Follow the technical speciﬁcations as well as all applicable regulations.

Any individual applications or modiﬁcations of the Multi sensor MS which

are not in compliance with the intended use are explicitly prohibited.

The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damages to personnel or

material resulting from non-compliance with this provision.

Montage/Anschluss

- Geeignete Stelle für die Erfassung der Luftwerte wählen. Der Multi-

sensor MS sollte an Stellen im Raum montiert werden, an denen man

die gewünschten Werte erreichen möchte. Er sollte z. B. nicht in der

Nähe einer Wärmequelle angebracht werden.

- Wandhalter in gewünschter Position (A) (“TOP” zeigt nach oben) mit den

mitgelieferten Schrauben befestigen.

- Anschlusskabel seitlich in das Gehäuse führen (B). Bei Montage auf

einer Schalterdose müssen folgende Schritte ausgeführt werden:

- an der Rückseite des Gehäuses Öffnung (B.1) vorsehen,

- Kabel in das Gehäuse einführen

- Anschlusskabel an Multisensor MS entsprechend Übersicht

anklemmen (C).

- Gehäusedeckel und -kasten zusammenklipsen und so auf den

Wandhalter aufsetzen, dass die entsprechenden Schriftzüge “TOP” sich

oben gegenüber liegen. Dann das Gehäuse ca. 8 mm in Richtung des

Betätigungshebels (D) schieben, bis dieser einrastet.

Gehäuse vom Wandhalter abnehmen: den Betätigungshebel drücken

und das Gehäuse um 8 mm in die entgegengesetzte Richtung schieben.

Installation/connection

- Choose a suitable location for measurement of air values.

The Multi sensor MS should be installed within the room at those

positions, where the desired values have to be reached.

It shouldn’t be ﬁxed near a heat source.

- Fix wall holder in required position (A) with screws delivered (“TOP”

shows to top).

- Lead the connecting cable sideways into the housing (B).

In case of installation onto an outlet socket, the following steps have

to be carried out:

- make an opening at the back side of the housing (B.1),

- lead the cable into the housing

- Connect the cable to the Multi sensor MS according to the scheme (C).

- Clip the housing cover onto the housing case and position it onto the

wall holder in such a way, that the corresponding letterings “TOP” face

each other at the top. Then push the housing in the direction of the

release lever (D) for approx. 8 mm, until it clicks into place.

Remove the housing from the wall holder: press the release lever and

push the housing for approx. 8 mm into the opposite direction.

Adjustment

At delivery of the Multi sensor MS, the following (limiting) values are

pre-adjusted:

Temperature: min. 21 °Cmax. 25 °C

Humidity: min. 40% max. 60%

Content CO2: min. 800 ppm max. 1600 ppm

CLOSE run time: 10 s

OPEN run time: 0 s

Delay time: 3 s

ATTENTION:

In case of setting-up operation, the connected drive could open

or close according to these (limiting) values!

voreingestellt:

Temperatur: min. 21 °C, max. 25 °C

Feuchte: min. 40%, max. 60%

CO2-Gehalt: min. 800 ppm max. 1600 ppm

ZU-Laufzeit: 10 s

AUF-Laufzeit: 0 s

Pausen-Zeit: 3 s

ACHTUNG:

Bei Inbetriebnahme kann der angeschlossene Antrieb sofort

entsprechend der (Grenz-) Werte öffnen bzw. schließen!

The sensor for CO2 needs about 5 minutes to initialize.

1. Press buttons OPEN, STOP, CLOSE at the same time.

3) from ﬁrmware version 2v00: there exists a time control for OPEN/CLOSE

(in automatic operation - refer to „Display/Operation“). If the run time

(command time) is zero, the relay comes on permanently in case of excee-

ding of an upper/lower limiting value (permanent +). The relay powers down

only, if the respective limiting value will be undercut/exceeded (switching +).

An undercut or exceeded limiting value (e. g. temperature) ﬁrst must be

exceeded or undercut again so that another limiting value (e. g. air humidity)

issues a control command.

Grenzwert dauerhaft an (Dauer +) und fällt erst wieder ab, wenn der

jeweilige andere Grenzwert unterschritten/überschritten wird (Schalt +).

Ein unter- oder überschrittener Grenzwert (z. B. Temperatur) muss erst

wieder über- oder unterschritten werden, damit ein anderer Grenzwert

(z. B. Luftfeuchte) einen Steuerbefehl erteilt.

Switching off MS automatic

It is possible to switch off the Multi sensor. Then the values of the air are

measured and displayed, but by reaching the setting values there will be

no release and the windows don’t open and close automatically.

- Press buttons OPEN and CLOSE at the same time for

approx. 6 seconds.

- In the third line of the display (CO2-value) “00” is displayed.

- After a short time the CO2-value displays again.

- Now the Multi sensor is switched off and no point lights in

the display right of the CO2-value („manual mode“).

Switch on the Multi sensor („automatic“):

- Press buttons OPEN and CLOSE at the same time for

approx. 6 seconds.

- In the third line of the display (CO2-value) “II” is displayed.

- After a short time the CO2-value displays again.

- Now the Multi sensor is switched on and a point lights in

the display right of the CO2-value („automatic“).

After switching off and on again or after power failure, the previously

adjusted mode will be reserved.

Abschaltung MS-Automatik

Es ist möglich, den Multisensor so abzuschalten, dass weiterhin die

Luftwerte gemessen und angezeigt werden, aber bei Erreichen der

eingestellten Grenzwerte keine Auslösung erfolgt und die Fenster nicht

automatisch öffnen und schließen.

- Die Tasten AUF und ZU gleichzeitig für ca. 6 Sekunden

drücken.

- In der dritten Zeile der Anzeige (CO2-Wert) erscheint eine “00”.

- Nach kurzer Zeit erscheint wieder der CO2-Wert.

- Der Multisensor ist nun abgeschaltet und es leuchtet kein

Punkt rechts neben dem CO2-Wert im Display („manueller Modus“).

Wiedereinschalten des Multisensors („Automatik“):

- Die Tasten AUF und ZU gleichzeitig für ca. 6 Sekunden drücken.

- In der dritten Zeile der Anzeige (CO2-Wert) erscheint eine “II”.

- Nach kurzer Zeit erscheint wieder der CO2-Wert.

- Der Multisensor ist wieder eingeschaltet und ein Punkt

rechts neben dem CO2-Wert leuchtet im Display („Automatik“).

Nach dem Aus- und Wiedereinschalten bzw. nach einem Stromausfall

bleibt der zuvor eingestellte Modus erhalten.

If certain parameters for switching commands are to be ignored, proceed as

follows:

- Channels can only be switched off if the respective limiting values are set

to maximum or minimum. This means that the value can not be reached at

all. The temperature channel is an exception: it can display down to -40 °C,

but the limiting value only goes up to 0 °C.

A calibration after lack of ventilation for several weeks (e.g. in the absence

without automatic operation) is not necessary. Excessive values indicate bad

air. The air quality sensor detects not only the CO2content of the air, but also

other characteristics.

Wenn bestimmte Parameter für Schaltbefehle nicht beachtet werden

sollen, ist wie folgt vorzugehen:

- Kanäle lassen sich nur abschalten, wenn die jeweiligen Grenzwerte

auf Maximum bzw. Minimum eingestellt werden. Dies bedeutet, dass

der Wert gar nicht erreicht werden kann. Der Temperaturkanal ist eine

Ausnahme: Dieser kann bis -40 °C anzeigen, der Grenzwert geht aber

nur bis 0 °C.

Eine Kalibrierung nach fehlender mehrwöchiger Lüftung (z. B. bei

Abwesenheit ohne Automatikbetrieb) ist nicht notwendig. Überhöhte

Werte sind ein Anzeichen für schlechte Luft. Der Luftgütesensor erfasst

nicht nur den CO2-Gehalt der Luft, sondern auch andere Eigenschaften.

Bedeutung besonderer Anzeigen / Fehlerursachen

Fehler: „Sensor ist defekt“ oder „Kommunikation zum Sensor ist gestört“;

Aktion: störende Geräte in der Umgebung beseitigen;

bei andauernder Fehleranzeige muss das Gerät repariert werden

Error: „Sensor is defective“ or „communication with the sensor is jammed“;

Action: eliminate interfering devices in the area; If the error display persists,

the device must be repaired

Display/Operation

After initialization of the device, the actual air values temperature, relative

humidity and air quality will be displayed. These values represent the

reference for automatic ventilation.

In addition to automatic ventilation, a manually released ventilation is

possible by means of the integrated ventilation pushbutton.

Parallel operation “manual“/“automatic“ is not possible.

Anzeige/Bedienung

Nach Initialisierung des Gerätes werden die aktuellen Luftwerte

Temperatur, relative Luftfeuchte und Luftgüte angezeigt, die die

Referenz für die automatische Lüftung darstellen.

Zusätzlich zur automatischen Lüftung kann mittels des integrierten

Lüftungstasters eine manuell ausgelöste Lüftung erfolgen.

Ein paralleler Betrieb „manuell“/„Automatik“ ist jedoch nicht möglich.

Wartung/Pﬂege

Das Gerät ist wartungsfrei. Das Gehäuse und alle Kabelanschlüsse

regelmäßig auf äußere Beschädigung und Verschmutzung prüfen. Bedie-

nelemente usw. dürfen nicht in ihrer Funktionstüchtigkeit beeinträchtigt

werden.

Für die Reinigung der Gehäuseteile ein weiches, leicht befeuchtetes Tuch

verwenden. Verwenden Sie keine ätzenden Chemikalien, aggressiven

Reingungslösungen oder lösungsmittelhaltigen Mittel. Schützen Sie das

Gerät dauerhaft vor Wasser/Schmutz.

Gewährleistung

Für das Gerät gelten die Allgemeinen Geschäftsbedingungen (AGB) der

HAUTAU GmbH.

Entsorgung

Das Symbol des durchgestrichenen Mülleimers besagt, dass

dieses Elektro- bzw. Elektronikgerät am Ende seiner Lebens-

dauer nicht im Hausmüll entsorgt werden darf.

Zur Rückgabe stehen in Ihrer Nähe kostenfreie Sammelstellen für Elekt-

roaltgeräte sowie ggf. weitere Annahmestellen für die Wiederverwendung

der Geräte zur Verfügung. Die Adressen erhalten Sie von Ihrer Stadt-

bzw. Kommunalverwaltung. Sofern das alte Elektro- bzw. Elektronikgerät

personenbezogene Daten enthält, sind Sie selbst für deren Löschung

Maintenance/Care

The device ist maintenance-free. Check all devices and cable connections

for external damage and dirt. The

operability of operating units etc. must not be affected.

Use a soft, slightly dampened cloth to clean the housing components.

Do not use any caustic chemicals, abrasive cleaners or agents containing

solvents. Provide the device with durable protection against water and

dirt.

Warranty

The device is subject to Terms and Conditions (TC) of the company

HAUTAU GmbH.

Disposal

The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates that you must

not dispose of this electrical appliance or electronic device in

the household waste at the end of its service life.

You can return it to free collection points for old electrical appliances

in your area or to other centres where they accept old appliances for

recycling. Contact your local council for addresses of collection points and

centres. If the electrical appliance or electronic device contains personal

data, you yourself are responsible for erasing data before you return it.
