Save This Manual
You will need the manual for the safety warnings and precautions, assembly instructions,
operating and maintenance procedures, parts list and diagram. Keep your invoice with this
manual. Write the invoice number on the inside of the front cover. Keep the manual and
invoice in a safe and dry place for future reference.
Safety Warnings and Precautions
WARNING: When using tool, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to equipment.
Read all instructions before using this tool!
1. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite injuries.
2. Observe work area conditions. Do not use machines in damp or wet locations.
Don’t expose to rain. Keep work area well lighted. Do not use electrically powered
tools in the presence of flammable gases or liquids.
3. Keep children away. Children must never be allowed in the work area. Do not let
them handle machines, tools, or extension cords.
4. Store idle equipment. When not in use, tools must be stored in a dry location to
inhibit rust. Always lock up tools and keep out of reach of children.
5. Do not force tool. It will do the job better and more safely at the rate for which it was
intended. Do not use inappropriate attachments in an attempt to exceed the tool
capacity.
6. Use the right tool for the job. Do not attempt to force a small tool or attachment to
do the work of a larger industrial tool. There are certain applications for which this tool
was designed. Do not modify this tool and do not use this tool for a purpose for which
it was not intended.

7. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry as they can be caught in
moving parts. Protective, electrically non-conductive clothes and non-skid footwear
are recommended when working. Wear restrictive hair covering to contain long hair.
8. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Do not reach over or
across running machines.
9. Maintain tools with care. Keep tools sharp and clean for better and safer
performance. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories. Inspect tool
cords periodically and, if damaged, have them repaired by an authorized technician.
The handles must be kept clean, dry, and free from oil and grease at all times.
10. Disconnect power. Unplug tool when not in use.
11. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches. Check that keys and adjusting wrenches
are removed from the tool or machine work surface before plugging it in.
12. Avoid unintentional starting. Be sure the switch is in the Off position when not in
use and before plugging in. Do not carry any tool with your finger on the switch,
whether it is plugged in or not.
13. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, use common sense. Do not operate any tool
when you are tired.
14. Check for damaged parts. Before using any tool, any part that appears damaged
should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its
intended function. Check for alignment and binding of moving parts; any broken parts
or mounting fixtures; and any other condition that may affect proper operation. Any
part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by a qualified
technician. Do not use the tool if any switch does not turn On and Off properly.
15. Guard against electric shock. Prevent body contact with grounded surfaces such as
pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerator enclosures.
16. Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical
replacement parts. Use of any other parts will void the warranty. Only use accessories
intended for use with this tool. Approved accessories are available from Harbor
Freight Tools.
17. Do not operate tool if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning
labels on prescriptions to determine if your judgment or reflexes are impaired while
taking drugs. If there is any doubt, do not operate the tool.
18. Maintenance. For your safety, service and maintenance should be performed
regularly by a qualified technician.
Note: Performance of this tool may vary depending on variations in local line voltage. Exten-
sion cord usage may also affect tool performance.

cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be under-
stood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be
built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.

Unpacking
When unpacking, check to make sure the following parts are included.
If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number on the
cover of this manual as soon as possible.
Machine Preparation Before Use
Caution: Avoid health hazards: Before assembling, thoroughly wash all
Meat and Sausage Grinder parts.
1. Clean all unassembled parts in the dishwasher. Never wash the Grinder, however, in
the dishwasher.
2. After assembly, test the Meat and Sausage Grinder by running several
slices of day-old bread through the machine to insure that all parts are
working properly.
3. After each use, clean the Meat and Sausage Grinder thoroughly.
4. Do not submerge the electrical assembly in water.
5. Detach parts and wash in mild antibacterial detergent and warm water.
6. Dry parts and reassemble when ready to use.

Operation
The Meat and Food Processor Grinder can be used to mince meat or fish, grate, shred, or
slice vegetables, fruits, chocolate, cheese, and nuts. It can also mill coffee beans, open
cans, form biscuits, roll dough, make Pelmeni pasta, and make sausage.
WARNING: Before changing accessories or making adjustments, always unplug the
line cord from the electrical outlet.
Motor Base Controls
The Motor Base transfers rotation from the motor to the food processing accessories.
Familiarize yourself with these illustrations that show the machine controls and basic acces-
sory attachment.

Mincing Meat
1. Assemble the Mincer Assembly as illustrated below.
The Grille with the two big openings is designed to cut beef for Stroganoff, and for
sausage lard. The two other Grilles are for making fine or coarse minced meat.
The slot in the Grille center must align on the Worm Drive shaft. Do not overtighten the
Nut except in cases where the meat is very tough.
2. Separate the meat from any bones and tendons.
3. Cut the meat into 3/4 x 3/4 x 1-1/2 inch pieces.
4. Feed the pieces steadily into the Mincer, using the Pusher if necessary.
Too much force on the Pusher may cause clogging.
5. Set the Switch to speed II or III.
If the mincing rate slows down drastically, turn the machine off and unplug the unit
from the electrical outlet. Disassemble the Mincer Assembly and clean. Reassembly
and continue.
Note: The mincer accessory has a special cup-type seal that prevents moisture from entering
the motor unit, allowing you to process fresh berries, fruits and vegetables into puree or juice.
Remove all fruits pits before processing.
Mincing Dry Foods
1. Turn the machine on to the desired speed.
2. Place small portions of dry food, such as oatmeal, into the mincer.
3. After 10 minutes of mincing dry food, turn the machine off and allow it to cool down.
4. Continue mincing when the machine is cool.

Processing Vegetables
1. Assemble the Grater / Slicer Assembly as illustrated below.
Select one of the Grating Cylinders:
A = Grate potatoes; apple sauce (peel apples first).
B = Shred carrots, beets, cheese, nuts, chocolate.
C = Slice Cabbage, cucumbers, potatoes, carrots.
2. Place the selected grating cylinder into the housing so that it locks firmly into place.
WARNING: Never use fingers to push food into the housing assembly. Always use the
Pusher.
3. When assembling, align the lugs on the Ring’s interior surface with the corresponding
grooves on the accessory housing, then rotate the Ring counterclockwise until it stops
(about 1/4 turn). Always use the Tray.
4. Cut the food items to a size that will freely fit through the Accessory Housing.
5. Turn the machine on to speed I or II, and begin feeding in the food items in small
amounts using the Pusher.
The Spiral will move the grated food items out through the Ring, so have a dish
underneath to collect the food.
6. When finished, turn the machine off and unplug the line cord from the electrical outlet.
7. To disassemble the grater, remove the Ring and Housing Assembly, and lightly tap on
the protruding Axle.

Pastry Profiling
1. Assemble the Pastry Assembly as illustrated below.
2. Place the Washer on the Worm Drive and Mincer accessory, instead of cutter and
grille.
3. Match the Washer slot with the Housing lug and secure it with the Nut.
4. Set the Plate profile openings into the Washer slots and match the necessary profile
openings with the Washer opening.
5. Roll out the dough into rolls that will easily pass through the funnel, and evenly feed
them into the Housing (Do not use the Pusher).
6. Turn on the machine to the desired speed, I, II, or III.
7. Cut the outcoming strips of dough into pieces and lay them on a baking tray.
8. When finished, turn the machine off and unplug the line cord from the electrical outlet.

Making Sausage
1. Assembly the Sausage Making Accessory as illustrated below.
2. Place the Washer on the Worm Drive and Mincer accessory, instead of cutter and
grille.
3. Fit the Cone onto the Housing, matching the Washer Cone slots with the Housing lug,
and secure it with the Nut.
4. Prepare the sausage mixture and season to taste.
5. Soak the sausage skin in warm water to give it elasticity.
6. Slide the skin onto the Cone, leaving 1/2 inch of overhang.
7. Place the sausage meat onto the Tray, then turn on the machine to the desired speed.
8. Using the Pusher, insert the sausage into the Housing funnel until the sausage
appears at the end of the Cone. Shut the machine off.
9. Tie a knot at the skin end, then push the knot back tight against the end of the Cone.
This is to eliminate any pockets of air that may be trapped under the skin.
10. Turn the machine on again, and continue to feed the sausage meat into the funnel
until the skin is full. Shut the machine off.
Note: To avoid over stretching of the skin, do not make the sausage meat too fatty.
11. Remove the skin end from the Cone and tie a knot.
12. Make the sausages into the desired length by pinching and twisting the skin where
needed.

Pelmeni Pasta Profiling
1. Assembly the Pelmeni Pasta Accessory as illustrated below.
2. Place the attachment on the Worm Drive and Mincer accessory, instead of cutter and
grille.
3. Match the attachment slot with the Housing lug, and secure it with the Nut.
4. Turn the machine on to the speed II or III.
5. Knead the dough, then cut a small piece and feed it through the Housing funnel.
A strip of dough will come out of the attachment. If it is the correct length, continue. If it
is not, adjust the amount of dough used.
6. Turn the machine off and tear the strip off and roll it, if necessary.
Note: Avoid long pauses in this process to avoid having the dough dry out and clog the
attachment.
7. When finished, unplug the machine from the electrical outlet.
Coffee Mill
1. Attach the (preassembled) Coffee Mill accessory to the Motor Base by twisting it in
place.
Refer to the illustration at the top of page 11.
2. Turn the Regulator dial to the desired grind (1-7).
3. Fill the Load Cup with dry coffee beans.
4. Place the Receiving Container in its holder.
