informationisprovidedfortheValidator(s).Forfurtherinformation,pleasereferto the appropriateValidator

Whencallingforassistance,it is very importantto have serialnumbers readily available.Please record these

I. Installation
Mounting
1. DURING INSTALLATION, REMOVEALLMAJOR COMPONENTS FROM
THECHANGER.
2. Cut anopening inthe wallmeasuring aminimumof34-5/8" Hx9"Wfor RNS, 34-
3/4" H x 18-1/8" W for DRS and 20-3/4" H x 15" W for ER-60.
3. Caulk aroundthe outsideedge oftheopening.
4. Place thecabinetintheopeningand press until the flange is flush on allsides.
5. Fasten thecabinet bybolting orweldinga2"angle iron onboth sidesofthecabinet.
Hamilton will not be responsible for injury due to improper installation.
FACEPLATE: 38 5/8" H x 12" Wfor RNS, 38 1/4" H x 21 5/8" Wfor DRS and 24-3/4" H x 18"W for ER-
60.
Electrical
Thischanger isoperatedon 120VAC, 60 Hz.This changerusesa 5AMPCIRCUITBREAKER.This unit
maybe hard-wired withconduitif desired.AGROUNDFAULTINTERRUPTERISREQUIRED.The
recommendedGroundFaultInterruptershouldhavethefollowingspecifications:
• 120 VAC
• 15 AMP
• 6-10mAtrip level
• Shouldnottrip whenpower isremovedfrom circuit.
Attached to the main harness is a 1-pin white Molex connected to a white wire. There should be a bright
yellowtagattachedtothiswirewiththefollowingwarning:
WARNING: Forsecurityreasons,thisplug shouldremaindisconnected until
suchtime asyouneedtoutilize thehopper’s manualrunswitch.
Thereisnoneedtoconnectthisplugfornormaloperation.Ifforsomereasonyouwishtoutilizethemanualrun
switch,besureto unplug theMolex afterward.

II. Validator Mounting
STA Mounting Instructions
1. Unplug thepower cordorremoveall powerfromthesystem at thecircuitbreaker.
2. Remove theexistingStackerandValidator.
3. Remove theValidatorbracket from the mountingstuds located onthe front wallof the
cabinet. Disconnecttheheater pad(if present)andremove it aswell.
4. Secure thenewValidatormounting bracket assembly(37-0055B)tothe studson thefront
wallofthecabinetusingfour 1/4-20 nuts.
5. Secure theadhesive backedfoamsealto the insideofthecabinet front aroundtheValidator
opening.
6. Connect thesmallend of the9-pin harness adapterto the STAValidator and theother end
tothesystemharness.
7. Slide theValidatorinto theValidator bracketfrom therear.
8. Connect theStackerharness and hangtheStackerfromtheback of theValidator mounting
bracket.

andthe#indicatestheindexnumberaccordingtothediagramonpages
8-9.
1. Mount CoverPlate-#14to FillerPlate-#12using (2)10-24 x 3/8 Philips head screws-#13.
2. Then mounttofaceof cabinetusing(4)1/4-20Hex nuts-#3and (4) internallockwashers-
#4.
3. Take Slider-#9 andValidator Face Plate-#10 and insert (4) 8-32 x 5/8 ballstuds-#11
throughFace Plate andinsertintofront ofcabinet.Thentake (4)8-32 nylonnuts-#8and
tightenonballstuds.
4. Mount (4)10-32x 3/16 Phillisterhead screws-#17 toValidatorPlate-#7. Screwingthem
frominsidetoout.
5. Then mountSecurity Bracket-#1tothebottom of thetwoPhillisterhead screws soit
swingsupanddown.
6. TakeU-Channel-#5and place itinsideofValidatorPlate-#7 and matchupwith studs on
faceofcabinet.
7. Then bytaking(4) 1/4-20Hexnuts-#3 and(4)1/4 internallockwashers-#4, mountto
cabinetandtightendown.
8. Then takeValidatorand placeinto U-Channel-#5andmount it with(4)8-32x5/8Philips
headscrews-#2. Then swingSecurityPlate-#1up andhookontothe toptwo Phillister
headscrews-#17 ofValidator Plate-#7.
9. For theCoinco®Validator only, take PowerPack Holder-#15 andmount tostuds on door
using(2) 6-32Hexnuts-#16.
10. For theMars®Validator only,Take Relay Box-#15and mount abovePower Box onface
ofcabinetusing (2)10-24 nylonlocknuts-#16.
