Dear costumer
Thank you for having chosen a HÆGER product.
The HÆGER products have been produced to think about the welfare of the consumer privileging the most raised
standards of quality, functionality and assign. We are sure you will be happy with this appliance.
We assume that the user is familiar with the common procedures of handling household appliances.
Before you start using your steam iron for the first time, read the operating instructions carefully and preserve this
booklet for later reference.
If you pass this appliance on to anybody else in the future, please also give him or her, these instructions.
General safety Warnings
When using electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
•The appliance has been designed for home use only and must not be used for commercial or industrial
purposes.
•Connect it only to the voltage stated on the characteristics plate. The use of an earthed socket is
recommended.
•Read the operating instructions carefully.
Safety precautions for your iron
•Take care when using the appliance with children present.
•This appliance may be used by children 8 years of age and older and by persons with physical or
mental impairments or by inexperienced persons, if they are properly supervised or have been
informed about how to use of the product in a safe manner and understand the potential
dangers.

•Do not allow children to play with the iron.
•Cleaning and maintenance performed by the user must not be performed by unsupervised
children. If it is connected to a power socket or if it is cooling down, keep the iron and its power
cord out of reach of children younger than 8 years of age.
•Do not leave a hot iron within reach of children. If they come into contact with a hot iron it could
lead to serious burns.
•Do not leave the iron unattended while it is plugged into the power outlet.
•When placed on its support, make sure that the surface on which the support stands is stable.
•The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
•During breaks in ironing, leave the appliance in the vertical position.
•Never leave the hot iron on textiles or materials which could burn easily.
•Iron only on an ironing board.
•An iron takes approximately 30 minutes to cool down. Allow the iron to cool completely before
storing.
•Do not wind the cord around the soleplate while the iron is still hot
Danger of electric shock or fire!
•Do not use the iron if it has been dropped or shows visible signs of damage. It will have to be
checked by an Authorized Technical Service Centre before it can be used again.
•Never rest the iron on the electrical connection cable.

•Do not use the iron if the cable becomes frayed.
•Do not immerse the iron in water or any other liquid.
•When the ironing is finished unplug it from the mains.
•Do not unplug it by pulling on the cable, nor leave the plug hanging freely.
•If you have to leave the room where you are ironing, then switch the iron off and pull the plug out off
the wall socket.
•With the aim of avoiding dangerous situations, any work or repair that the appliance may need, e.g.
replacing a faulty mains cable, must only be carried out by qualified personnel from an Authorized
Technical Service Centre.

6. Thermostat light - illuminates to indicate that the iron is heating and goes out when it has reached the
temperature selected on the temperature dial. The thermostat light cycles on and off during ironing as the iron
maintains the selected temperature.
7. Cord with swivel cord outlet - The swivel cord outlet is ideal for left- or right-hand use, and provides greater
versatility and ease of movement when ironing. The flexible grommet protects the cord from fraying.

Before using the iron for the first time
1. Remove any sticker or protective foil from the soleplate.
2. Let the iron heat up to maximum temperature and pass the iron over a piece of damp cloth for several
minutes to remove any residues from the soleplate.
How to use the iron
1. Insert the plug into a 220 –240volt power outlet and turn the power on.
2. Turn the temperature dial to the desired setting by aligning the setting on the dial with the temperature
indicator. The thermostat light will illuminate to indicate that the iron is heating to the selected temperature.
When the thermostat light goes out the iron is at the selected temperature and is ready to iron.
NOTE: When the temperature dial is changed from a high setting to a lower temperature setting during ironing,
the thermostat light will go out immediately. This indicates that the iron is cooling to the selected temperature.
To ensure that the iron has reached the selected temperature and is not too hot, wait until the thermostat light
comes on again and then goes out before ironing.
3. Check the fabric guide label for the required ironing temperature:

High temperature
4. If you do not know what kind or kinds of fabric an article is made of, determine the right ironing temperature
by ironing a part that is not visible when you wear or use the article.
a. Silk, wool and synthetic materials: iron the reverse side of the fabric to prevent shiny patches.
b. Start ironing the articles that require the lowest ironing temperature, such as those made of synthetic
fibres.

Cleaning & Maintenance
After each use
1. Turn the power off and remove the Plug from the power outlet.
2. Allow the iron to cool before winding the cord around the built-in cord wrap.
Storage
Always store the iron on its heel rest.
NOTE: Do not store the iron with the soleplate facing down, or in the carton.
Cord wrap facility -The built-in cord wrap facility allows you to wind the cord around the heel for neat and tidy
storage of the cord when the iron is not in use.
Cleaning
To clean the exterior of your iron, wipe over with a damp soft cloth and wipe dry.
Caution: Do not use harsh abrasives, chemical cleaners or solvents to clean the exterior of your iron as these will
damage the surface.
Cleaning the soleplate
The non-stick coating reduces sticking of fabrics and scratches to the soleplate. Do not iron over sharp objects such
as buttons, studs and zippers, as these will scratch the surface.
Wipe the soleplate with a damp soft cloth after each use. If polyester has burnt to the soleplate, iron a damp
cotton cloth while hot.
Caution: Do not use scouring pads, abrasives or harsh cleaners to clean your soleplate, as these will scratch and
damage the surface.

Disposal
Please consider our environment
Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This product is subject to the European
guideline 2012/19/EU.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community waste facility. Observe the
currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal centre.
Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
When you wish to dispose of the appliance, remove the cable and dispose it in an environmentally friendly way (e.g.
recycling plant).

Guarantee
This unit is covered by 24 months warranty (*), from the purchase date, and covers the repair free of charges of the
damaged due to the manufacturer fault or defected components. The distributor reserves the right to change the
unit for an equivalent model. The warranty does not cover any damaged caused by incorrect use, lightning,
incorrect installation, external factors or any intentional damaged.
For the repairing, during the warranty period, the unit shall be sent to the distributor or reseller, or to the address
indicated by them, and must be jointed the warranty certificated and the respective invoice or selling ticket original,
where the buying date is expressed indicated.
The user is protected by the guarantee indicated in the Directive 1999/44/CE issue by the European Parliament on
1999, May 25.
