IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USING AND SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS!
• FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. Do not use this appliance for other than its
intended use.
• REMOVE all packaging materials and labels before rst use.
• WIPE DOWN all parts before rst use. See Cleaning & Care. Slightly
grease plates with cooking oil.
• A SHORT CORD is provided to reduce the hazards resulng from
entanglement or tripping. Do not drape the cord over the counter or
tabletop, where it can be pulled on or tripped over. Never wrap the cord
ghtly around the appliance, as this could cause it to fray and break.
• We DO NOT recommend using an extension cord with this appliance.
However, IF AN EXTENSION CORD IS USED, the marked electrical rang
should be at least as great as the electrical rang of this appliance.
• CLOSE SUPERVISION is necessary when using this appliance near
CHILDREN.
• A re may occur if this appliance is used near FLAMMABLE MATERIALS,
including curtains, towels, walls, etc. DO NOT place any paper, plasc, or
other non-food items in the appliance. Do not place the appliance or its
cord on or near a heated surface, or in a heated oven.
• This appliance should always be used on a STABLE, DRY, HEAT-RESISTANT
SURFACE. Do not use near water.
• Do not use an accessory or aachment not recommended by Ginny’s, as

This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug in which one prong is wider
than the other. This is a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock.
The plug will t into a polarized outlet only one way. If you are unable to
insert the plug into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If it sll does not t,
contact a qualied electrician. Do not aempt to modify the plug in any way.

1. Close the wae maker and plug it into an outlet. The red POWER light will
come on and remain lighted during use.
2. Turn the control knob to the MAX seng to preheat.
3. While preheang, prepare your recipe.
When heated for the rst me, the wae maker can emit slight
smoke or odor. This is normal and should disappear aer the rst
use. You may want to discard your rst waes.
4. Aer approximately 5-8 minutes, the green READY light will come on,
indicang the unit is ready for use.
5. Turn the control knob to the desired seng. A lower seng produces a
lighter browned wae, while waes made at a higher seng are darker
and crispier. Adjust according to preference.
6. Place the drip tray on the base of the wae maker. Ensure the handle is
extended; li the handle to open the wae maker.
7. Pour just enough baer to cover the peaks of the lower grid. Use a spatula
to spread the baer if needed. Do not overll; baer will expand
when cooked. The green light will go o, as the baer cools the plates.

Baers with more sugar will brown quicker.
Thicker baers may require a longer cooking me.

plates, use only plasc, nylon or wooden utensils.

8. Close the wae maker. Use the handle to rotate unit clockwise (to the
right) 180°.
9. When the underside green light turns on, this means the wae maker
has returned to the desired heat. Rotate (using the handle)
counterclockwise 180° and then carefully open the wae maker.
Do not open the wae maker if total cooking me is under 1
minute 30 seconds. This can cause the under-cooked wae to
break and it can be dicult to remove from the plates.
10. Waes should be baked according to the recipe you are following. For a
darker, crispier wae, close the wae maker again and turn the
control knob to increase the temperature. Connue to bake for 30
second intervals, checking unl the desired doneness is reached.
11. When done, remove waes using a spatula. If making more waes,
close the wae maker to retain heat. Always wait for the green light to
come back on before adding more baer.
12. When nished baking, unplug the cord from the outlet. The wae
maker will remain ON unless it is unplugged. Li the handle to open the
wae maker and allow to cool.
Extra waes freeze well. Cool completely and store in a
covered container (separate waes with wax paper) in your
freezer. Thaw and reheat waes in a toaster.

2. Always allow the wae maker to cool completely before cleaning.
3. Remove the drip tray and wash in warm, soapy water.
4. Do not use abrasive brushes or pads, or harsh cleaning soluons.
5. Use a so cloth, sponge or rubber spatula to remove any stuck-on food or
residue. A moist paper towel can be used to wipe down and remove
cooked-on baer from the plates. A dry, clean, so pastry brush is useful
to help remove any crumbs from the plates.
6. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and dry.
7. Do not immerse any electrical appliance, its cord or plug, into water.
8. Ensure all parts are dried thoroughly before using this appliance.
9. Aer cleaning, fold handle and store for future use.

RECIPES
1 ½ c. our 3 large eggs, separated
½ c. cornstarch 2 T. sugar
2 T. cornmeal 1 ¾ c. milk
1 T. baking powder ½ t. vanilla extract
1 t. salt ½ c. buer, melted
1. Preheat the wae maker on HIGH.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together our, cornstarch, cornmeal, baking
powder and salt.
3. With a mixer, beat egg whites unl so peaks form, add sugar and beat
unl s peaks form.
4. In another bowl, whisk together egg yolks, milk and vanilla.
5. Using a rubber spatula, sr milk mixture into our mixture unl all
ingredients are moistened (do not over-mix, small lumps are ne).
6. Sr in the buer and fold in beaten egg whites unl combined.
7. Pour baer onto preheated wae maker. Close the wae maker and
turn. Waes should be golden and crispy aer 3-5 minutes on
HIGH (dierent wae makers may vary – so check your rst batch closely
for doneness).
Makes about 8 medium waes
For a special treat, try sprinkling chopped fresh fruit or nuts on the
baer before closing the wae maker!

Use any veggies you have on hand for this recipe – chopped ham, bacon or
sausage would be great also!
2 eggs 2 T. milk
¼ roma tomato, chopped and seeded 2 T. cheddar cheese, shredded
1 T. onion, minced salt & pepper
1 small handful fresh spinach, chopped
1. Preheat the wae maker on MEDIUM.
2. Beat the eggs and sr in the veggies and milk. Add the cheese, and salt &
pepper to taste.
3. Pour the egg mixture into the wae maker. Close and turn the wae
maker. Time for 3 minutes. Add more me if needed.
Makes 1 omelee
