torouteupto32DVIsourcestoany32DVIdisplayswithresolutionsupto1920x1200.
Themodulardesignofthismatrixprovidestheultimateinexibilitybyallowingtheuseof
anycombinationofDVI,ELR,or1FOoutputmodulesinanyofitsfouroutputslots.This
featureallowstheGefenPRO32x32ModularMatrixtofunctionasbothaMatrixandasan
Extender.Thefront-panelLCDdisplaysthecurrentroutingstatusandeachDVIsourceis
accessibletoanydisplaybyusingthefront-panelpushbuttons,viatheRS-232interface,or
throughIPControl(built-inWebserverandTelnet).Hot-swappabledualredundantpower
suppliesallowthesematrixestobeusedforapplicationsindemandingapplicationswhere
enhancedreliability,easeofservicingandzerodown-timearerequired.

Connectupto32DVIsourcedevicesusingDVIcablestotheinputsontheGefenPRO
ModularMatrix.Connectupto32displaysviaDVI,CAT-5,orFiberOpticcablesdepending
onwhichoutputmodulesareutilized.ConnectanEthernetcablefromthenetworktothe
RJ-45connectortousethebuilt-inWebserverorTelnetcapabilitytocontrolrouting,EDID,
andotherfunctions.ConnectanRS-232cablefromaRS-232controldevicetocontrol
thematrixviaRS-232.ConnecttheIECconnectorsoftheincludedACpowercordstothe
matrixandplugthepowercordsintoavailableelectricaloutlets.TheDVIsourceswillbe
routedasselected.

ModularMatrix.
The32x32ModularMatrixcanaccommodateuptofouroutputcardsandfourinput
cards.Eachcardprovideseightconnectors,providingatotalof32inputsandoutputs.
The32x32ModularMatrixissoldpre-conguredwithacombinationofinputandoutput
cardsbestsuitedfortheneedsofyourapplication.Wewillcovereachcongurationin
thenextsection.First,wewillidentifythelocationofeachinputandoutputcardonthe
matrix.
Matrix Layout
Thebottom-fourexpansionbaysofthematrixonlyacceptinputcards.Thetop-four
expansionbaysonlyacceptoutputcards.Eachexpansionbayonthematrixisidentied
withaletter:A,B,C,andD,fromtoptobottom(seenextpage).
Theinputsandoutputsarenumberedoneachcard,fromleft-to-right.
BlueLEDsoneachcardindicatethatthecardisproperlypowered.
Refertopage10fordetailedinformationontherear-panellayout.
NOTE: Whenacardisnotinstalled,itisrecommendedthatacover
platebeinstalledovertheexpansionbaytopreventdustandother
