General information
The 3G-COM-G communicator is designed to report events through an
Internet connection across three communication channels:
1) Internet connection through a WiFi network
2) Internet connection using a mobile data service
3) Text message transmission using a cell phone service
The communicator prioritizes communications through a WiFi connec-
tion. Therefore, the mobile phone data connection or transmission is
used as support in case of a failure or absence of connection of the WiFi
network.

Status led indicators
The 3G-COM-G Communicator has a variety of leds that report dierent
status of the communicator.
These include leds to indicate WiFi network signal strength, 3G network
signal strength, server report results and monitoring station report
results.
Explanation of led indicators
There are two groups of leds, those that indicate the WiFi or 3G network
connection signal strength and those that indicate the results of WiFi
and 3G network data communications.
WiFi signal or 3G network led indicators
These leds indicate if the communicator is connected to a network.
If the communicator is connected to a WiFi network, the blue Led, that
represents the WiFi Antenna, shall indicate the strength by blinking
according to its signal level.
The number of ashes represents the signal level, 1 ash indicates a low
signal level and 5 ashes indicate maximum signal level.
If the communicator is not connected to a WiFi network, the red led “No
Signal” shall be on indicating that the communicator is not connected to
a WiFi network.
The 3G antenna instructions are the same as the above.

Communication Led indicators
The communicator is prepared to communicate through WiFi and
mobile data. In both cases, in the event there is a communication or
some kind of report, the result will be indicated through leds represen-
ting such communications.
In case of a report to the monitoring station or in residential format,
the result shall be represented through two leds, one representing a
successful report (ACK) or another indicating a failure in communication
(NAK).
When the communicator reports supervision to monitoring or to server
XXX, both leds will turn on simultaneously.
“Status” led
This led indicates the work mode according to the ashing speed.
If the led ashes slowly (1 second interval) it means that it is congured
to work in “DSC” mode, if the ashing is rapid (10 times per second) it
means that it is congured to work in the BUS-C485T.
“NET” Led
This led indicates the status of the mobile data network.

WiFi network named “3G-COM-Gxxxxxx”. The numbers XXXXXX are the
last 6 digits of the communicator mac.
3) Enter the default network password: admin1234.
4) Once the communicator enters the programming mode, the leds will
behave as follows
In case this result is not obtained, repeat the steps above. The cell
phone shall be in “Flight” mode when connecting to the module WiFi
network.
5) Once ready, open the Garnet Programmer app and follow the
instructions you wish to program.
Note: During communicator programming inside the “status” display,
you shall take note of the System Number since it will be used in the
