Battery Indication Guide
When the RX+ Receiver is switched on and at the end of the LED
lighting sequence the unit will pause for 3 seconds showing a battery
indication using the 4 LED’s.
• 4 Green LEDs indicates the batteries are new or nearly new.
• 3 Green LEDs indicates the batteries are used, but do not need
replacement.
• 2 orange LEDs indicates the batteries are becoming low and
will need replacement soon.
• 1 red LED indicates batteries are low and need replacement as
soon as possible.
Please note that the RX+ receiver may continue to work with 1 RED LED
indicator for a short time without triggering the low battery warning in
use. This indicator feature is to help identify battery condition prior to
the low battery warning.
Switching On / Off
To turn on the RX+ Receiver rotate the volume dial clockwise
to ‘ON’. A “click” will be felt and all the LEDs will cycle through
their colours, ending on white. The LEDs will then display the
battery condition for 3 seconds (see “battery indication guide”
below).
Rotate the control clockwise to increase the speaker volume.
The unit is silent at the lowest volume setting.
To deactivate the RX+ Receiver rotate the dial fully counter
clockwise to the ‘OFF’ position – you will hear a click as it reaches
this position.

6ENGLISH
Registration Mode
When the RX+ Receiver is used for the rst time, it is necessary to
“register” the bite alarms that it will be used with, so that the RX+
Receiver can “learn” their unique identication codes.
Before starting this procedure, ensure all your bite alarms are
witched OFF, then proceed as follows: –
1. Switch RX+ Receiver “ON.”
2. Using a small pointed object press the registration button on the
back of the receiver.
3. HOLD DOWN the button until the leftmost LED starts to ash red.
Battery Requirements
The RX+ Receiver requires 3 x LR6 AA 1.5V Alkaline batteries.
The use of good quality batteries is essential for maximum battery life.
To reduce the risk of battery leakage:
• DO NOT mix old and new batteries.
• DO NOT mix different battery types.
• The use of rechargeable batteries is NOT recommended.
Please ensure the batteries are removed from the RX+ Receiver during
long periods without use.
Low Battery Warning
When the RX+ Receiver batteries are low the LEDs will ash cyan (blue-
green) periodically. When this occurs, batteries should be replaced at
the earliest opportunity.
The RX+ Receiver will also indicate if any your RX+ Alarms batteries
are low. When the alarm low battery warning changes the microns
LED colour to cyan (blue-green) the receiver will do the same for that
alarm.

ENGLISH
4. Now simply switch on the RX+ Micron you would like to assign to the
rst LED. The LED colour will change to match that of the alarm
and the RX+ Receiver will beep once, to indicate successful
registration. The next LED will then start to ash and the next RX+ Micron
can be registered. Up to 8 RX+ alarms can be registered with an RX+
Receiver. After the 4th RX+ Micron is registered the 1st LED will begin
to ash again, this is to indicate registration point 5 and it will not
impact the 1st registered alarm.
5. When complete press the registration button again on the back
of the RX+ Receiver, or switch the RX+ Receiver off. If you would like
to change the order of the RX+ Microns, or add more to your setup
please repeat the above sequence. Be aware that restarting the
registration process wipes the memory of the RX+ Receiver,
therefore all previously registered RX+ Microns will need to be
registered again if they are required.

8ENGLISH
Obtaining the best performance from the RX+ Receiver
The operating range of the RX+ Receiver, like all low power radio
systems, is highly dependent on the conditions of use and can be
adversely affected by the position of both transmitter and receiver,
the terrain over which it is being used, the prevailing atmospheric
conditions and the presence of any interfering signals.
To obtain best performance, it is recommended that you –
• Keep the RX+ Receiver as high above ground as possible – if
worn on the body, it should be worn as high as possible and on
the outside of your clothing.
• Try to keep a direct “line-of-sight” between the receiver and
transmitter – obstructions such as trees, buildings, etc may
cause loss of signal, or reections of the signal, resulting in
“dead spots”.
• Do not keep the RX+ Receiver in the same pocket as a mobile
phone, or other electronic device.
Anti Theft Alarm
If your alarms are switched off the RX+ Receiver will emit an audio tone
or tones (depending on the number of alarms deactivated) and the
corresponding alarm LEDs will turn red.
(The unit will also vibrate if vibration is switched on).
• Ensure both your RX+ Receiver and your alarms have good
batteries.
If all the above points are adhered to, a working range of over 500
metres may be obtained. All the above hints become progressively
less important as the working range is reduced. Remember to use
the system responsibly – the RX+ Receiver has been designed to
give a long operating range in order to maximise reliability at close
range and NOT to encourage users to leave their rods in the water
unattended, whilst they are hundreds of metres away.

Bivvy light function
The RX+ Receiver incorporates a small bivvy light which is triggered
automatically when this function is switched on.
To prevent disturbing the user unnecessarily, it does not illuminate
unless at least three beeps are received in a short space of time. Once
illuminated, the bivvy light stays on until the last LED extinguishes, after
which the bivvy light fades out.
Note that when the bivvy light feature is enabled, the brightness of the
indicator LEDs is reduced to prevent glare.
The bivvy light function is enabled by a switch on the back of the unit
with this symbol above it.
Vibrating alert function
The RX+ Receiver includes a vibrating alert function which can
be enabled by a switch on the back of the unit with this symbol
above it.
When enabled, the unit will vibrate on each trigger from an
RX+ Micron. By reducing the volume to zero, this allows for
discrete, silent operation.
Infrared Window (IR)
This is tted to the RX+ Receiver for future compatibly with next
generation Fox light products.
