3. DetectorConnections
Connectionstotheflamedetectorforconfigurationand
setupwillvarydependinguponwhetherthedetectoris
capableofprovidingavideooutput.Toconfigurea
detectornotequippedwithvideooutputcapabilities,
simplyconnectthedetectortothehostPC(desktopor
laptop)usingRS‐485cableandconnecta24VDCpower
sourcetothedetector(Figure1).AFikeUSBtoRS‐485
converter(soldseparately)mustbeusedtoallowtheRS‐
485cabletobeconnectedtothehostPC’sUSBport.See
