Die Plane ist mit einem Controller IC
vom Typ WS2811 bestückt, durch den
drei LEDs angesteuert werden können.
Bei den LED-Ausgängen handelt es
sich um eine Konstantstromquelle, so
dass bei der Verwendung der internen
5V Versorgung keine zusätzlichen
Vorwiderstände benögt werden.
Die Helligkeit der LEDs wird über die
NeoControl eingestellt bzw. gesteuert
(siehe Beschreibungen zur NeoControl
bzw. BiDiB-Wizard im BiDiB-Wiki).
Achtung:
Beim Ausfall eines WS2811_3out Treibers,
schlechter Busverbindung oder bei Kurz-
schluss an den Löt-Pads des WS2811-Bus
sind alle folgende WS2811-Treiber bzw.
LEDs ohne Funkon.

Zwei Anschlussvarianten zur Auswahl
Die Plane ist einseig bestückt und auf der Rückseite
unbestückt. Mit Hilfe eines doppelseigen Klebebands können
Sie die Baugruppe direkt am Geschehen xieren, z.B. in einem
Gebäude. Das direkte Platzieren reduziert erheblich den
Verkabelungsaufwand. Sie können Ihre Anschlussleitungen für
LEDs und W2811-Bus direkt auf den Löt-Pads verlöten oder mit
den beiligenden Sleisten steckbar machen.
Der Treiber WS2811_3out ist geeignet für die NeoControl-
Baugruppe um externe LED-Leuchtmiel (z.B. Hausbeleuchtung,
RGB-Eekte oder Lichtsignale) anzusteuern.
Es können auch mehrere LEDs in
Reihe geschaltet werden. In den
meisten Anwendungsfällen reicht
die interne 5V Spannung aber
nicht aus (LED Forward-Voltage
im Datenbla der LED beachten).
In diesen Fällen kann mit
einer externen 12V Versorgung
gearbeitet werden, beachten Sie
aber den Vorwiderstand Ihrer
LED-Reihenschaltung.
Die Abbildung zeigt, wie Sie Ihre WS2811_3out Treiber
mit der NeoControl verbinden können. Je nach verwen-
deten NeoControl Firmware können mehrere 20 Stück
dieser Module mit den Kanälen A und B der Baugruppe
verbunden werden.

WS2811 that can control three LEDs. The
LED outputs are constant current sources
therefore there is no need for any series
resistor if the internal power supply at
5 V is used.
The brightness of the LEDs is controlled
by the NeoControl module (see the
descripon of the NeoControl and BiDiB-
Wizard on the BiDiB wiki webpage.
Warning:
In case of one faulty WS2811_3out driver,
bad connecon on the bus or short circuit
between the solder pads all following
WS2811 driver and LEDs will fail to work.

Two connecon variants to choose from
The printed circuit board is only populated on one side and le
unpopulated on the other side. By using double-sided type the
module can be xed where it is needed e.g. inside a building.
The mounng close to the LEDs reduces the wiring eort. It is
possible to solder the cables directly onto the solder pads or to
use the supplied pin headers to make it pluggable.
The driver WS2811_3out can be used with the NeoControl
module to control external LED light sources (e.g. home lighng,
RGB light eects or train signals).
It is also possible to connect
several LEDs in series. In this
case the supplied voltage of 5 V
oen is insucient (take note of
the LED forward voltage in the
datasheet of the LED).
In that situaon it is necessary
to use an external 12 V power
supply. But make sure to use the
correct series resistor.
The gure shows how to connect the WS2811_3out with
a NeoControl. Depending on the NeoControl rmware
up to 20 of this modules can be connected on channels
A and B in total.
