QUICK INSTALLATION GUIDE
1 Statement
Thanks for using our product. Please feel free to contact us whenever you need
help.
This manual is applicable for standard AHD DVR including only a few instructions
for product operations. For more information, please read the CD.
Notice:
1. Please verify each camera is connected with dvr to ensure every channel is
shown
2. All channels are showing or not depend on remote (DVR-side) and your local
(smartphone-side) network conditions.
3. All channels can be viewed separately
4. Max. 16CH video sync viewing on your smartphone

6 Boot up/ Shut down & User login
6.1 Boot up
Power on, then the indicator turns on, DVR boots up.
Note: 1. Please use configured adapter to avoid abnormal situation or damage.
2. Connect the powerlead
6.2 Shut down
Two ways to shut down the device, soft power-off and forced shutdown. Soft
power-off: Go to <MainMenu>--<Logout>--<Shutdown>
Forced shutdown: Pull out the power on rear panel.
Note:
1. Power recovery: when DVR is shut down abnormally, please reboot it, all data
will be saved automatically and restored to previous status.
2. HDD replacement: please assure the device is power-off before replacement.
6.3 System login
When DVR boots up, the user must login and the system provides the
corresponding functions with the user purview. There are two user settings. User
name is “admin’’ as default, no password.
Password protection: If input password wrongly for three times continuously, the
alarm will start.
If password wrong for five times, the account will be locked. (Account will be
unlocked automatically half an hour later or by rebooting).
7 Video input setting
Go to <Main menu>-<System>--<Digital>-<ChannelType> as follows:
7.1 Network Settings
To ensure the device access to network, the IP address of the DVR must belong
to the same network segment with that of router and not conflict with other IP
address. Go to <Main menu>-<system>-<network>, select DHCP Enable (Router
should enable DHCP)
8 Record Setting
8.1 HDD management
After installing HDD, boot up the DVR, go to<Main menu>-<Advanced>--
<Storage> to format the HDD. Then set the HDD as “read/write’’.
Note: at least one read/write HDD is needed for normal recording.
8.2 Video Settings
Go to <Main menu>-<record>-<Record Conf.>.
Channel] Choose the corresponding channel number.
[Redundancy] Choose the backup function to double backup the file.
[Length] Set time length of each video file between 1 minute to 120 minutes. 60
minutes as default.
[Mode] Set video state: schedule, manual or stop.
[Configuration] Record according to the set video type (common, detection) and
time section.
[Manual] Corresponding channels start recording 24 hours non-stop.
[Stop] Whatever state the channel is in, the corresponding channel recording
stops when stop button is selected.
[Period] Set time section of common recording, The recording will start only
among the set range.
[Record type] Set recording type: regular, detection, alarm. Regular: Record
according to the set time selection. The video file type is “R”.
[Detect]: Within the set time section, triggering motion detect, video blind, video
loss or abnormal analysis. When above alarm is set as opening recording, the
recording detection state is on. The video file type is ‘’M’’.
[Alarm]: trigger external alarm signal in the set time section. When above alarm is
set as opening recording, the “detection recording’’ state is on. The video file type
is ‘’A”.
9 Playback
There are two ways to play the video files stored in HDD.
1. In the right shortcut menu
2. <Main menu>-<Record>-<Playback>
Please note: The HDD for storing video files must be set as “read/write’’ or “read
only’’.
10 Public network acces
(cloud operation)
PC access
(1) Enter http://xmeye.net to login.
10.1 Login XM Cloud www.xmeye.net via IE browser.
10.2 Login by User, click ‘’By User’’, input user name, password, verify code, then
login. Or login by device, input serial ID and verify code, click Login.
10.3 Install the ActiveX when first visit.
