Installation
Step 1: Remove rear valance covering the OEM exhaust muffler.
Step 2: Using a heavy-duty spring tool, remove the 4 springs holding the muffler to the race
bypass pipe.
Step 3: Remove the 4 bolts and nuts securing the muffler to the frame of the machine and
remove muffler.
oIf installing a race bypass, remove the OEM O2 sensor. Remove the
upper and lower heat shields by removing the worm drive clamps.
oLoosen V-Band clamp at the turbo/race bypass connection.
oWith the clamp loose, using a screwdriver, pry around the circumference
of the clamp until it pops off. Be careful only to pry on the inner part of
the clamp – do not pry on the thin outer band or the clamp will be
permanently damaged.
Step 4: Install race bypass pipe. Make sure the flanges of the turbo and pipe meet correctly.
Step 5: Reinstall V-Band clamp and partially tighten.
Step 6: Install E-Captains Choice exhaust in the reverse of how the OEM muffler was removed.
Step 7: Reinstall heat shields on the race bypass and reinstall O2 sensor and reconnect plug.
Step 8: Finish tightening V-Band clamp between turbo and race bypass.
Receiver and Wiring
Step 1: E Captain’s Choice comes with plug and play harnesses
Step 2: Route supplied power cable to the area under the dash. There is an unused power
connection that the EVP supplied harness will plug into. See picture on next page

Step 3: Make cable and antenna connections to the receiver box.

Step 4: Mount Receiver in the location shown below using the supplied Velcro. Make sure the
area is clean and warm – use a hair dryer to warm up the plastic prior to installation if it
is below 70 deg F. See picture below.
Step 5: Zip tie power cable so it will not interfere with steering or braking functions
Step 6: Route cable to the exhaust valve actuator along the inside of the vehicle frame, then to
the actuator.
Step 7: Using the supplied remote FOB’s, open and close the valve using the “ON” and “OFF”
functions. The “AUTO” function is disabled.
Notes:
●Do not adjust the exhaust valve position while driving! – distracted driving can cause
injury or death.
●The key FOBs are water resistant – do not power wash or submerge them in liquid.
●The control box is meant to be installed in a place where it will not be submerged in
water or come into direct contact with sprayed water – If you intend to submerge your
vehicle, you must remove the control box. No warranty will be honored for electronics
damaged due to water immersion.
