Washing machine location

Check the place where the washing

machine is to be installed. Make sure that

you have everything you need to install

the washing machine correctly. Choose a

dry place to install your washing machine,

preventing plastic parts from direct

exposure to sunlight.

Position

For your washing machine to function

correctly, your appliance must be level:

the floor must be firm and even, free from

depressions or holes, and must not move

or collapse. Ideally the floor should be

made of concrete, wood or tiles.

Important note:

Do not install your washing

machine on a carpeted floor, since

the carpet pile may obstruct motor

ventilation or make it heat up. Do

not install under the water heater.

How to make sure your

appliance is level

Regulate the height of your washing

machine by turning the feet indicated on

Fig. 1 depending on the floor where the

washing machine is to be installed,

making sure that all four feet of the

appliance are firmly supported on the floor.

4. INSTALLATION

There must be a space of 4 cm

minimum on each side of the

washing machine.

If your washing machine is not

level, it will NOT work properly.

Drainage connection

It is important for the drainage hose not to

be bent or be in the wrong position for the

water outlet. To avoid this problem look

carefully at the drawings showing how to

install it correctly.

Your washing machine is designed to

discharge water up to a maximum height

of 1.2 metres, so this height must not be

exceeded. You must also take care not to

install the outlet of your drainage hose at a

height of under 90 centimetres.

The drainage pump is

found at the back of

the washing machine.

Connect the hose clip to

the hose to stop any water

escaping.

Then connect the hose

elbow to the outlet

section of the pump as

shown in the diagram.

Installing the hot and cold water

supply hose

Connect the end of the water supply

hoses with an elbow to each water intake

point on the washing machine and the

straight side to the supply taps.

Precautions when connecting

the water supply hoses

If there is only one water tap in the place

where you want to install your washing

machine, make sure that this is a cold

water supply and connect it to the intake

marked COLD, otherwise your washing

machine will indicate that there is a fault

and will not work, since your washing

machine only uses cold water for rinsing.

NOTE 1: “With regard to equipment

connected to the water supply using

removable hoses, the new hoses supplied

with the equipment must be used.

Used hoses must not be used”.

NOTE 2: Your washing machine has a red

stopper indicating the hot water intake.

This stopper must be removed when you

connect the hot water hose and if this

option is not being used then the stopper

should be left in place.

Preparations

Electrical connection

The washing machine must be earthed, so

make sure that the plug has three prongs

because otherwise you might experience

an electric shock if there is no insulation.

For the same reason DO NOT USE

extension leads with 2 conductors.
