Following the highly successful launch of Zakk

Wylde’s custom 300-watt EVM12L Black Label guitar

loudspeaker, Electro-Voice is please to announce the

newest addition to the EVM line: the EVM12L Classic.

Endorsed by the world’s top guitarists, the EVM-12L

Classic features a high performance, heavy duty design

that delivers unmatched sonic reproduction at the critical

final stage in the signal chain. Meticulously voiced to

duplicate the sound of the legendary, long discontinued

EVM12L, the Classic recaptures a tonality loved by

guitarists in virtually every genre. Original EVM12L

endorsers included guitar icons Stevie Ray Vaughn and

Steve Vai. A testament to this legacy of tone, EVM12L

Classic has already become the speaker of choice for

a wide range of world class guitar talents, including

David Hidalgo of Los Lobos, Billy Duffy of The Cult,

Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Herman Li of Dragonforce, Joe

Bonamassa, David Lee of The Legendary Shack Shakers,

Grammy Award Winner Pete Anderson of the Dwight

Yoakum band, and Travis Larson.

Most guitarists spend a great deal of time and money

selecting the right guitar and amp, without paying

due consideration to the quality of their speakers. Our

engineers are driven by the philosophy that a guitarist’s

rig is only as good as the speakers inside. Think of it

as a return on your investment in a high quality guitar:

when it comes to accurately and reliably reproducing

your tone, even at extreme volumes, the EVM12L Classic

pays serious dividends. Or, to put it another way, why

would you put cheap, skinny tires on a Formula One

racing car?

The EVM-12L Classic’s high wattage assures ample

headroom, minimizing unwanted distortion. Its heavy

duty cast frame and magnet offer a high level of

efficiency and stable frequency response, against which

other manufacturers simply cannot compete. Above all,

this translates into improved guitar sound night after

night, on the road or in the studio.
