BHS cables with a length of 3.3 m (E 89 604 97) are used predominantly when casting pillars. Four
cables are placed in this case.
The BHS system can also be used to heat building structures, assuming they have been correctly
insulated. As heat accumulates in concrete, it is advantageous to connect the system up only at
night when the electricity rates are favourable. The temperature is controlled via the thermostat
of the central BHS unit (item no. 2466233) which also has a timer function.
Heating
If the system is used for drying, the cables must be connected pair-wise in series, so that only
a quarter of the output is utilised. The series connection adapter (art no. 2403033) allows this to
be done in a simple way.
