Instructions

Place the repeater (DA4000MR) in a suitable, dry
location in the instrument dash, under seat, or in
trunk and plug the (DP515) power supply's power
cord into the cigarette socket or appropriate power
jack.
Connect the (CA09P) interior slim patch
antenna's mini-UHF male connector directly to the
DA4000MR's inside antenna port connector. The
inside antenna must operate in a vertical position.
Attach the inside antenna adhesive side to a non-
metal surface on the automobile's center console.
The interior antenna can
be placed onto the right side of the driver’s headrest
with an elastic band.
The included power supply (DP515) must
be used. DO NOT connect the DA4000MR
repeater unit directly to 12 volts.
Do not place the interior antenna onto the
windshield or windows.
3) Mount the exterior black magnetic mount antenna (CA55M), on the center of the metal car roof. For a car with a
sunroof, place the antenna on the center of the metal area behind the sunroof. The outside antenna must be placed on
the roof and cannot be located anywhere else on the automobile. Do not place the exterior antenna on the trunk or on
the edge of the vehicle’s roof.

Run the cable for the exterior antenna through the weather stripped area of door jam and into the car.
Connect the outside antenna's mini-UHF male connector to the outside antenna port on the repeater
unit.
After you are certain that all connections are tight and secure, move the repeater’s switch labeled " " to the on
position. A green light will illuminate indicating that the repeater system is ready for use.
If the light on the repeater immediately turns off and the 12VDC power supply flashes red, the
power supply’s

repeater’s light is red.

the repeater and the power supply should stay green.

Flashing red light on the 12 VDC power supply (PN DP515)
Model #4KMR-10A includes a new 12vdc power supply with built-in microprocessor controller that automatically stops
power to the repeater (turns the repeater off) in the event of an oscillation (feedback). Please follow troubleshooting
guidelines below.
Please contact Digital Antenna if analog service is being used, the microprocessor 12vdc power
supply can not be used with analog service. Digital Antenna will send you a replacement power supply if analog service is
being used.
The constant red or flashing red light on the power supply indicates the antennas need to be re-
located. The power supply turns off the repeater when an oscillation between antennas is detected.
After the antennas are re-located, reset the power supply by unplugging it from the cigarette lighter and
plug it back in.
The outside antenna must be centered on the metal portion of the car roof. With a sunroof present, the magnetic mount
antenna should be centered on the metal part of the roof between the sunroof and rear window. Try the inside antenna
attached to the headrest with a rubber or elastic band. Low on the center console may not be the best location for all
vehicles.
During normal operation, the lights on the repeater and the power supply should remain green. Please
contact Digital Antenna if you have tried all above steps and are unable to obtain solid green lights on 12vdc
power supply and repeater.

Troubleshooting Proper Installations:
Even if the antennas are properly separated, a signal bounce could reflect inside the vehicle’s window to the
inside antenna. Walls or large trucks reflect cell signals and may reflect the signal into the vehicle. Once a
signal bounce is detected, the power supply stops power to the repeater. The power supply resets itself
every 90 seconds but will only stay on if the signal reflection is gone. Once the vehicle is moved away from
the wall or truck, the power supply will remain on and the LED will remain green.
The power supply will
reset itself after 90 seconds. After 5 automatic resets, you must manually reset the power supply by unplugging the
cigarette adapter.

The 4KMR-10A system can only be used with a metal roof vehicle; it cannot be used on a convertible or vehicle with a
composite roof structure. Use model DA4000 direct connect amplifier for vehicles with non-metallic roof. Digital Antenna
offers an exchange program to a DA4000 direct connect amplifier within 90 days of 4KMR-10A purchase.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a class B device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These
limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate
radio frequency energy and if not installed and used in accordance with this instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to
radio communications, However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment
does cause harmful interference to radio or other electronic reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on,
the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of more of the following measures:
Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver
Connect to isolated power with a ground cable going directly to the battery or DC source
Repositioning of the coaxial cable may also eliminate interference
Consult the dealer or an experienced electronics technician for help.
