closed case rugged solution will become your portable network-in-a-box
and WiFi hotspot. It is easy to use; just connect your PDN LITE to an AC or
DC power source, push the Power Button to activate gateway and within
minutes you will have a secure wireless connection. We are committed to

1 Quick Start Guide /Troubleshooting: Get connected and start working
immediately with this accessible reference guide.
2 Antenna: Low profile, enables critical communications.
3 AC Port: 110-120V AC input, 50-60Hz.
3a AC Power Cord: Enables use of the PDN LITE.
4 Auxiliary Port: 12V DC input.
4a DC Power Cable w/ 12v Auto Connector: Power port adapter that
enables use of the PDN LITE.
4b DC Power Cable w/ 2.5mm Barrel Connector: Power port adapter that
enables use of the PDN LITE.
5 Data Ports: Two RJ45 ports — WAN (IN) /LAN (OUT), programmable.
5a Data Cables:
Two Ethernet cables to connect other devices to the PDN LITE.
6 Power Button: Enables or disables gateway with case closed.
7 Cellular Gateway: Wireless connectivity, see your gateway
specifications for more details.

GENERAL USE

Data
Use WAN (IN) RJ45 Port to
connect alternate Internet source
(i.e. modem, gateway, or satellite)
to the PDN. Use the LAN (OUT)
RJ45 Port to provide a wired
Internet connection to switches,
routers, network extenders
and other devices as well as a
wired connection to the PDN’s
embedded cellular gateway GUI
for configuration changes and
gateway status. Both WAN and
LAN ports are programmable to
be LAN or WAN.
Note: Your PDN LITE comes
preconfigured and assembled. The
unit is ready to use out of the box.

Quick Start Guide
1. Plug in PDN LITE with AC or DC power source.
2. Activate gateway by pressing Power Button near handle; button will illuminate
indicating the unit is active. Within minutes the gateway will connect to the
cellular network and provide available connectivity for passing data.
3. Locate available PDN LITE WIFI network on your device.
4. Log your device into available PDN LITE network with your credentials.
Transport
Your PDN LITE is TSA friendly and suitable for carry-on.
WARNING To reduce risk of injury or electric shock unplug
unit before cleaning.
While the PDN LITE is rugged it may require an occasional cleaning.
Using a soft, lint-free cloth, please observe the following
recommendations:
- Use only mild, non-abrasive cleaners, sparingly.
- Gently wipe all surfaces and avoid excessive moisture.
- Allow all surfaces to dry prior to storage.

MONTHLY MAINTENANCE CHECKS
We recommend monthly maintenance checks of the unit for optimal
functionality. (See pages 13–17 for a convenient Maintenance Log). The steps
below should be followed every month to ensure unit is ready when needed:
1. Determine that you are within good cellular range.
2. Plug in PDN LITE with AC or DC power source.
3. Push the Power Button (see 6 on page 4), an LED light will indicate that the
gateway is powered on.
4. Open case ensuring cellular gateway adequately boots by checking status lights
(see 7 on page 4)—if present on gateway model.
5. After the gateway has connected to the cellular network, log your device(s) into
the available PDN WIFI Network utilizing your unique credentials.
6. Once logged in, access the Internet, making sure you can view multiple pages
and not simply information that has been cached.
7. Once you have established eective Internet access, log o the network and push
the unit’s Power Button. The LED light will turn o indicating that gateway services
have been turned o.
8. Return to storage.
Note: All passthrough ports, caps, seals and gaskets should be inspected periodically to ensure a
tight fit. Contact DHWS for information regarding PDN LITE remote updates or other maintenance

1. If unit fails to power up, check the power supply to ensure that AC or DC
power source is working.
2. If WIFI does not appear on your device, ensure cellular gateway is active by
checking status lights.

charger. Remove fuse and
verify center strip is intact.
Replace the fuse with
a mini blade fuse of
same amperage
rating printed
on top of fuse.
Gateway has no power
The DC
source
voltage may
be too low
Use a voltmeter to check
source voltage. Ensure
voltage source has a
minimum of 9 volts DC
and 1.5 AMPs.
Change the external DC
source or switch to a power
source with adequate
charge and voltage.
AC source is
not working
Inspect both ends of AC
power cable ensuring they
are both seated fully in
receptacles.
AC cable must be pressed
firmly and completely into a
live receptacle.
