Introduction
About the Hotshot:
Thank you for choosing a Delray Gas Prontigo.
The Hotshot (Model DHS) is a vented gas fireplace for installation in
a asonry fireplace equipped with a double burner, glowing e bers
and a 6-piece fibre logset.
The DHS is rated for Natural Gas at 25,000 BTU/H (7.4 Kilowatts)
Input or Propane at 25,000 BTU/H (7.4 Kilowatts) Input.
How to use this manual:
This anual covers installation, operation and aintenance. Lighting,
operation and care of this fireplace can be easily perfor ed by the
ho eowner. However, we strongly reco end that installation and all
service work be carried out by qualified, trained contractors.
Warranty and Installation Information:
The DelRay warranty will be voided by, and DelRay disclai s any
responsibility for, the following actions:
nModification of the fireplace and/or co ponents including Direct-
Vent asse bly or glass doors.
nUse of any co ponent part not anufactured or approved by
DelRay in co bination with this DelRay fireplace syste .
nInstallation other than as instructed in this anual.
Consult your local Gas Inspection Branch on installation require ents
for factory-built gas fireplaces. Installation & repairs should be done by
a qualified contractor.
Installations in Canada ust confor to the current CAN/C A B-
149.1 and .2 Gas Installation Code and local regulations. If the optional
air-circulating fan kit is installed, it ust be electrically grounded in
accordance with CSA C22.1 Canadian Electrical Code Part 1 and/or
Local Codes.
Installations in the USA ust confor to local codes, or in the
absense of local codes to the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI
Z223.1-1988. If the optional air-circulating fan is installed, it ust
be grounded in accordance with local codes or, in the absence of
local codes, with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70-
1987.
