for Plastic Storage Tanks PE-DF
1. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
When storing and transporting the PE storage tanks, care must be taken to
ensure that the tanks are not damaged by placing them on sharp objects
such as nails, steel chips, etc. Avoid pushing the tanks over rough floors.
Dirty tanks can be cleaned with water. The tanks must not be subjected to
improper use on the construction site. Temporary outdoor storage of the
tanks is possible in principle, but unprotected outdoor storage must be
limited to 6 months.
2. SETUP AND INSTALLATION
Before installing and before filling, the containers should be checked for
contamination inside and cleaned if necessary. The tanks are installed
horizontally on smooth, stable ground. The container bottom stands
completely on the surface. Ensure that the tanks are set up so that they
cannot tip over and that there is sufficient distance from the wall.
Building regulations must be observed.
2.1 TANKS FOR STORING LIQUIDS HAZARDOUS TO WATER
The tanks PE 2000 to 4000 DF white are approved according to abZ 40.21-138
and certificate KVU-No. 111.020.15 and KVU-No. 117.002.15 for storage of
liquids hazardous to water. The tanks are installed as individual tanks in
rooms of buildings, protected from UV light. The approval and national
legal regulations must be considered.
The flanged partially placed at bottom of tank must not be connected when
storing liquids hazardous to water and must not have any openings.
2.4 BOTTOM CONNECTING PIPE
The containers can be combined to form tank batteries.
The required tabs (part no. 971356) are supplied with the “lower connection” accessory.
2.3 BOTTOM CONNECTION FLANGE
The bottom flange connection must be drilled out with a 70 mm hole saw (see photos) for mounting
flanges or the connecting pipe. Make sure that it is correctly seated.
2.2 STORAGE OF WATER
All plastic tanks from Dehoust of the PE-DF range in white
or black have test certificates for use in leisure centres and
bathing water application and in domestic installations.

4. OPERATION MANUAL
No impermissible stresses may be transferred to the tank wall by connected pipes.
The containers are designed for products with a density of up to 1.15 kg per dm³.
Filling the tank with alternative type liquid is to be avoided. The containers are
designed for pressureless operation. Therefore make sure that the vessels are
sufficiently ventilated during operation. Storage container type PE-DF are designed
for continuous temperatures of max. 30°C; peak temperatures of the stored product
of 40°C are only admisable if the material cannot heat up considerably above 30°C.
Certificates and ordinances regulations must be observed.
The safety of the tanks is only guaranteed if the conditions of this manual and the
legal regulations are observed and the installation is carried out by a specialist
company. This company confirms the proper installation on the acceptance
certificate.
