How to use this manual
This manual covers the foldaway models listed in the table below.
Please note which models below have incorporated KVM switch.
Throughout this manual, units with built-in KVM switch are referred to
collectively as, “GFA 1x18B” and units without the KVM switch are
referred to collectively as, “GFA 1x10.”

Introduction
Overview
The GFA 1x18B built-in 8 port KVM switch (GFA 1x10 without 8 port KVM
switch). It allows you to access multiple computers (8 maximum) from a 1U,
integrated keyboard, mouse and monitor. There is no interface card or
software to configure. Installation is as easy as connecting cables to the GFA
1x18B switch and your computers. Operation is as simple as pressing a button,
entering hot-key command and navigating through the user-friendly on-screen
menu (OSD). It increases the productivity of server and computer
management. The KVM switch is independent of the computer operating
system, allowing the attached computers to run different applications.
On-Screen Display(OSD Menu)
The GFA 1x18B has two OSD screens, one is for LCD monitor use (please
see the below paragraph to learn more to configure your LCD monitor setting),
the other is KVM OSD screen This allows you to name your computers, switch
to a desired computer from a list, configure settings with easy-to-use menus,
view the name of the selected computer on screen with programmable time
interval, etc. Additionally, the OSD displays the system status throughout
operation. The latest onscreen display technology ensures seamless menu
operation between computers of different VGA resolutions and smooth
switching without leaving residual characters on the screen.

Automatic Mouse Conversion
This technology enables you to connect computers with either PS/2 or serial
ports to the GFA 1x18B KVM switch, and control the computers from one PS/2
mouse. With a special mouse adapter connected to a computer using serial
mouse, the KVM switch automatically identifies the mouse and switch to
proper mouse protocol.
High Video Quality
The GFA 1518B & GFA 1510A: 15” TFT LCD monitor, max. resolution is
1024x768;
The GFA 1718B & GFA 1710B: 17” TFT LCD monitor, max. resolution is
1280x1024;
The GFA 1918B & GFA 1910B: 19” TFT LCD monitor, max. resolution is
1280x1024.
Color depth reaches 16.7M. Automatic adjustment allows quick and accurate
tuning of LCD adjustments.
