2.7 – RIGHT SIDE KNOBS
On the top row we have:
–CLICK: use ths knob to adjust the amount of keyclick nose, whch s the typcal
nose you hear at the attack of each note, that on a real tonewheel organ s
caused by electrcal contacts underneath the keyboard;
–XTALK: use ths knob to adjust the amount of cross-talk effect. Also ths s an
effect found n the orgnal tonewheel organ, mostly caused by the large
amount of wrngs that nterconnect all the parts of the electronc crcut;
–PERC. VOL: ths comes handy to adjust the volume of the percusson sound n
case t becomes too loud or too soft, whch s a condton that may vary
accordng to the type of amplfcaton beng used. Sometmes the percusson s
just rght, but ts percepton may change when the speakers are set to a
dfferent poston, or when just usng a dfferent set of speakers;
–BALANCE: when the nternal Rotary Speaker smulaton s actve, ths knob
adjusts the balance between the upper horn and the bass rotor;
–DISTANCE: when the nternal Rotary Speaker smulaton s actve, ths knob
adjusts the dstance between the vrtual speakers and the vrtual m crophones,
varyng the amount of percepton of the Doppler effect and other acoustc
phenomenons that happen n a rotary speaker.
The knobs on the bottom row are BASS, MIDDLE and TREBLE. Nothng but an
effcent and handy 3-band equalzer useful to balance the sound accordng to the
type of amplfcaton system used, ts postonng n the venue, also the knd of
venue, possble resonances or unwanted reverberatons. When all three knobs are n
the m ddle poston, the sound can be consdered “flat”, .e. wth no frequences
added to or subtracted from the orgnal sound.
2.8 - PERCUSSION
Lke on the the vntage tonewheel organs, the command panel features the four
percusson swtches that have the followng functons, from left to rght:
1.Turn the percusson on or off.
2.Select between soft or normal percusson volume.
3.Select between fast or slow decay.
4.Select the harmonc appled to the percusson tone.
PLEASE NOTE: the percussion is only present at the upper manual. Also, when the
percussion is active, the 1' drawbar will be muted.
