Model 14
The Model 14 was designed to offer additional postural support to the wheelchair user.
Available in child and adult sizes. This model has the advantage of being sold in separate components.
Depending upon the individual requirements Model 14 can start from a simple lap belt and be
transformed into a full harness by adding shoulder straps and/or a groin strap as and when required.
Consequently the shoulder straps are unfixed to the lap belt and detachable (unlike the B78 harness below).
The Shoulder Straps ‘slide-fix’ to the tubular handles of
the wheelchair & loops on to each side of buckle
The belt is available in either ’Loop-on’ for manual Wheelchairs or ’Slide-fix’ for Power Chairs.

(An upgraded version of Model 14)
Full supportive body harness complete with
understrap which fixes to chassis cross-section.
The shoulder straps are sewn into fixed, position
on lap belt for extra stability.
Adjusts at each side of lap belt buckle for ease of use.
Fitted with Vehicle Buckle as standard. One size only.
Two types available:
’Loop-on’ for manual Wheelchairs
’Slide-fix’ for Power Chairs.
On a manual wheelchair the lap
belt loops over the tipping levers
On a Power Chair the lap belt
‘slide-fixes’ to the tubular framework.

Model 14 & B78 Fitting Instructions
Shoulder Strap 40mm Adjusters.
To loosen or tighten the straps.
The shoulder straps ‘slide-fix’ onto the push
handles & then pass down to loop onto the
lap belt at either side of the central buckle.
To Extend Straps:
The 40mm Adjusters are slightly spring
loaded to lock the webbing into position.
To release the webbing you need to
squeeze the Adjuster whilst pulling
on the lower webbing strap.
To Tighten Straps
Simply pull the tail-end of
the webbing strap.
The Adjuster will lock the
webbing into position
The groin strap loops over the central lap belt buckle.
Adjust the length by pulling the tail-end of the strap
through the black plastic Adjuster buckle.
The black plastic 3-bar
‘Sliplok’ slides hold the straps more
securely into position.
Lap belt loops onto the ‘tipping levers’
of manual chairs.
For power chair belt
see ’slide-fix’ method below.
The groin strap is fixed around the
cross-section of the framework
underneath the wheelchair seat
by using the ‘slide-fix’ method.

Pass the end of strap around
the metal tubular frame. Double back & thread the
strap through the slide.
It is essential for safety purposes that
you thread the end of the strap back
once again through the bottom bar of
the buckle.
Pull the strap & ‘tighten’ the grip of
the webbing to the metal frame.
