The Convotherm 4 Designer Handbook
This Designer handbook is a reference source. Based on our document portfolio, it draws together all the
technical information relevant to you in a single manual.
"Convotherm 4 – Designed around you" means that we offer the widest range of combi steamers on the mar‐
ket.
Our combi steamers come in seven sizes each offering two types of controls, with a choice of boiler or steam
injection and of course electric or gas appliance. You can also customize these 52 standard models with va‐
rious options such as our patented disappearing door.
The technical documentation to accompany such a wide product range is equally comprehensive. We there‐
fore decided to make it as easy as possible for you to find the technical information you need by providing
our Designer handbook. Here you will find the following clearly-presented information:

■emissions data (e.g. dissipated heat)
■guidance on setting up and installing the appliance
■a summary of certification and declarations of conformity, and much more.

1 General information
Purpose
This Designer handbook is intended to provide a summary of the Convotherm 4 combi steamers, their
accessories and appliance options. It is intended as a clear reference source for kitchen design purpo‐
ses and as a helpful reference for everyday use.
It is not an Installation manual, Operating manual or Repair manual. It is intended solely for design
and planning and must never be used as a substitute for these more specific manuals, which contain
far more detailed information.
Please refer to the Installation manual for further technical data and guidance on installation, positio‐
ning and setup.
Safety information relating to the combi steamer appears only in the Installation manual and the User
manual.
Who should read this manual
This manual is intended for kitchen designers.
